I am considering traveling to Amsterdam Sept - Dec this year. I would like to ask if the coffee shops / head shops and restuarants will be open at this time of year?

I did hear that Amsterdam is only 'open' during the tourist season and this is why I ask the question.

I did visit one time a few years ago during April/May and had a wonderful time looking at the buildings and noticed a few shops selling mushrooms and others selling cannabis. It is a beautiful city and I really want to go back one day.

By the way, do the coffeeshops only sell hashish to locals? I heard the new Goverment put restrictions on trade.

If you can help me out I would appreciate it but no worries if you can not help me with my questions.

September is when i arrived in Holland and at the time it was still pleasent outside, the sun was out and cafes were open air, my brother is coming around that time as well. So no all things will open and outside during that time.

As for hashish, no that isnt true, im a foreighner and i buy hash all the time.
