sleep three hours and then have a typical loud BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP..... alarm go off only dont let the person get up or shut it off.... make them lay there and hear that for an hour. i think youd go mad.
i doubt it. i dont think ANYTHING could be worse then an alarm clock.... i didnt wanna get up today (three hours sleep) so i just left it go..... on and on and on.... as my way of punishing myself and ensuring i get up. surprize... it worked i hope up after ten minutes of it thinking its worse then... well anything
the alarm clocks that change rather than beep monotonously are like 10 TIMES WORSE. because at least with that stupid fucking BEEP BEEP BEEP it kind of becomes your rhythm, you know, like you can start to absorb the sound... but with the variation which, by defiance of some law of psychology and physics, gets MORE ANNOYING EVERY TIME despite repeating itself, is much worse. that one can be torture. just thinking about it... ugh
I should mail you the tape i made of him snoring, its quite brutal.. haha, but yeah, alarm clocks are horrid, if i get no sleep like you did, i become extremely annoyed with my alarm and get the urge to smash it with a hammer...i think i have issues...
i think that alarm is pretty bad. nothing ive experienced is scarier than having it go off after 3 hours sleep The worst alarm ive ever encountered would be the fire alarm that went off during an astronomy final I was writing. They wouldnt let use leave so we had to write the exam with the alarm going off, with about 45 minutes left in the exam. And after a while it got louder and faster I would think that an air raid siren would be the worst
you know there are actually people with certain heart conditions (very rare) but loud things can make their heart speed up and then stop.... teen age girls have DIED after an alarm goes off.... i can almost understand the feeling.
I had a smurfs alram clock when i was a kid (and everything smurfs you can imagine I was a little obsessed) and it would say 'come get up we have a lot of work to do today'. I was too young to remember but rumor has it I threw it one morning and broke it ):
I used to have an alarm that played cds when it went off. That was dumb, I"d just fall back asleep to the music. There was no urgency to get up and shut it off. I guess I need that annoyance to get up.
holy shit i juust made a very similar thread and i didnt even see this one. but i would have to agree with wonderboy, the regular rhythm will just start to melt in to oblivion after extended periods. I know all too well now.
i saw the title of your thread just now death and was gonna say "copycat!" haha and i dont agree.. not even the alarm is loud enough anyways
