I was wondering what the PPM should be for seedlings, mature and flowering parts of the plant.

Edit: Im using aeroponics and an eb n' flow system.

    Thanks!

What kinda aero ya usin? Are ya eb&flowin a mom and veggin clones? Theres alot of variables to consider. What are ya doin aero and what are ya doin eb&flow? Then could ya tell me a bit bout your conditions? I find that in an aero system, the closer you get your conditions to perfict the heavier you can feed. I know you can feed up to 1800 ppm in the flower room even for new clones with the rite formula and under the proper conditions.

Im in the first week of vegetation stage. Room temp is 77 average. Humidity 52 average.

The aeroponics is a down spray type. I had a reading of 1500 ish so i added a few gallons and dropped it to around 650 until I know the right number.

The ebb and flow is in the same room, same plants, flooding about 8 times a day.

Also these plants were started from seed, and have roots about 3 inches long, starting to branch out. Not sure on the strain though.

With your aero system you should have an average droplet size not above 50 mikrons and your root zone temps shouldnt xceed 68. This along with a good nute formula will allow you to feed as heavy as I stated. 77 is great for your room temp.

It is in fact a spray system though not a drip system. Each sprayer constantly mists the roots of each pot. 2 air stones rest at the bottom also.

So whats the max PPM before they start to burn?

Its all relative Hazer. The more dead on you are with your criteria the heavier you can feed. In an aero system you gotta supply your roots with a fine mikron fog no greater than 50 mikrons and this fogs gotta be between 57 and 68. The further you deviate from these speks the lighter youl have to feed. If your system is just sprayin spray it prolly aint puttin out a fine enoughf mist and you might have to fallow the feedin scedule that would apply to an NFT system. If your systens an NFT hybred your ppm's are prolly ok where theyr at now and you might be finishin at round 1300, its all relative.

Its not a fine mist really, its heavy enough to jitter the roots around, and water is constantly dripping off. Ill keep it at 700 now, and increase it every week by 100 I guess, until I see signs of burn. Im sure weed will grow at low ppm but that would be a weak plant.

Edit: I wonder if I'd get better results by alternating on and off for the sprayers, or just leave them on 24/7?

I think what ya got there might be an NFT bubbler system. Most Folks do cycle the spray. I think the main reson Folks cycle the spray aint to let the roots get air, its to keep heat down from the pump. If you dont have temp issues with your root zones then just let it run. Youl see what your plants like after a while. If ya want major controle of your feedin cycles getcherself a short duration timer like a Cyclestat or somethin, you can get one for bout $90.

This system was custom built, i got the tub and the guy at the hydro store did the rest. 9 holes, 9 spray emitters, 2 air rocks at the bottom. Pretty simple but good design. Im probably going to put a fan in the side to cool the root air.

I hope this system runs circles around my ebb and flow, cuz the ebb is much easier to care for and simple mechanics.

In your case it would prolly be better to tryan get the nute sulution cool, under 70. Either that or your hydro friend might sugest ya some root protection like Hydrozyne or something like that. Some Folk use stuff like this to help allow them to run higher root zone temps.

Alright I got some beneficial fungi solution, we'll see how the plants do now.

Checked the PPM and its 700, ill look for burn on the next set of leaves and back it off if necessary.

Yea. Just keep it low untill ya see good roots. and Make shure ya keep your ph where your boy suggests too. Your # will be between what they print on the your nute container but the dude that designed your system and sugested your nutes would prolly be able to narrow it down for you. Blessins Brudda

Oh i keep the ph at 6, as best i can, cuz im colorblind quite a bit. Im getting a digital ph meter in the mail this week so itll be easier then.

Just some input...you were askn about a timer for your roots....i grow with aero-ponic and have the misters setup with a "cycle timer" i read to set it 1 minute on 5 minutes off, the timer i purchased doesnt go that low so i run mine 5 minutes on 9 minutes off....since adding the timer the plants look much better than they did when it was on 24/7
