Hello i will be visiting amsterdam between the 13-20 of july and i had a few questions that i would like answered and after reading people's posts and realycing how nice people are in this forum i was hoping that someone could spare their time to answer. 1. Is it ok to go into a coffeeshop buy their weed and smoke it in there without the purchase of drinks or anything else? 2. Which coffeeshops are musts in my visit? 3. I like weed and hash and was wondering what are the best types (strains) to try, their prices, which coffeeshop they are sold in and what kind of high they give you (high/stoned). Hey Weedy...welcome to the hipforums! 1. As long as you buy the bud from that coffeeshop i see it as a purchase so you can sit and smoke. But remember that the person who sells the smoke to you is typically different from the person who takes care of drink orders so if the place is large, they might not realize! If you are only staying for one smoke then this is not a problem either way, but if you plan on using a table for 45 minutes or more I would buy a drink after30-45 minutes even if you bought the gear there. But thats not a rule, its just my preference. If you make it to Coffeeshop Abraxas, ask for a "token" whenever you buy a drink or food item and they give you a token redeemable for 15 minutes worth of internet access at the shop! Its a nice kick back when you feel like you are paying 1-3 euro's for drinks you don't necessarily want 2. See my 2006 list below....(x) means i have not been there yet but have good reason to go. no (x) means i have been there before and have good reason to go back! 3. i'll follow up with some of that info later..... general rule of thumb is indica=stoned sativa=high. A cross will be more like which ever parent (the indica or the sativa) is dominant. Prices can run from about 3.50euro per gram - 20euro per gram for weed. Hash 3.50euro a gram - 20euro a gram as well. The newly popularized "ice hash" ranges from 16euro-50euro per gram. Hello again I will be making this trip with a friend and another mate will be staying with us for 2 nights. We are all over 18 however one of my friends looks like if he was 15 and i know he will have trouble at the coffeeshops. He doesn't want to carry his passport around with him all the time since we will be stoned and memmory is weak in those moments and just in case. Because of this i was wondering if they will take passport photocopies even though my friend looks really young? thanks.
