    Hi all,

I'm a complete newbie, not only to this site but to growing as well! I'm hoping you can give me some advice. Pretty please with cherries on top! :)

Ok, I've just ordered some Lowryder seeds & I want to prepare for the day they arrive. I know they're the most versatile & easiest to grow but I'm wondering about what temperature they should be kept at. The weather here is fairly crap so outdoor growing is probably out. (can't afford me a greenhouse!) Not sure what kind of soil to use, how often they should be watered/fed etc... Yeah I know, I'm hopeless! All suggestions will be graciously accepted.

    Cheers!

    Hi

I would suggest getting some shop lights at home depot or lowes, fitting them with full spectrum bulbs or cool and warm bulbs.

Hang those inside from the ceiling in the corner of a room. If the walls are white you'll get some decent reflection from the corner.

Other than that you need the basic stuff like soil and pots. I only use hydro and aero with alternating HIDs but thats because ive been growing plants for a while. If you are serious about growing, not just weed, maybe you should look into getting the works. $500 bucks can get you quite a bit, my 45gal aeroponics was custom built and cost me $65 bucks. The bulbs, reflector and ballast was about 350.

Aim for about 75F. Heard foxfarm soil is good. Any general purpose compost will do. You may want to mix it with some pearlite for improved drainage. What country are you in? Some Lowriders can finish in about two months. Even in the UK where I live they could be grown outside over the summer as they have such a short life span. Just a suggestion although Lowriders are a good starting plant to get the hang of growing e.t.c. I would try I different strain next time, lowriders yield is only small.
