It's much less likely that you'll be tested if you try to get hired at locally owned and operated businesses (i.e. not giant franchises).
i doubt it... i work at domino's and they couldn't care less if i smoke or not. especially if the subway is hiring (they are needing employees), they probably won't rule you out. just don't go in looking like a pothead, and don't give them reason to test you . good luck, let us know how it goes
Subway itself probably won't drug test you, but sometimes jobs like that require you to get a physical ( I have no idea why), but, once the fucking doctor gave my friend a random piss test for no reason. And she doesn't look like a pothead
^^ it also depends on the person owning that particular subway outlet, eh? i'd just say ask them if they do any testing (my dad does a "truthfulness test" before he hires people, but no drug test)... just be casual about it haha... plus, don't they have to tell you at an interview anyways?
If people tell you they do a drug test in the interview. Say mine will be positive for weed. Do you still want me to take it? I have been hired several times by people that told me, yes, we don't care about weed; we are looking for something that would mess up your work like crack or crank.
Wow, for what kind of jobs would people look past us using weed? It seems like they could just get anybody else that applies, instead. Hm, I've got something to add. Some places say that they drug test, but nobody has ever heard of them actually doing it. An example would be our local K-mart. It's pretty much a way to scare hardcore druggies out of applying for a job before they even turn in their app.
why WOULD they care about weed? some places have an honest concern with drug tests, its not just a legal thing. if you suit teh job, then why would they not hire you if a) they smoke and b) you fit the job? its funny how so many stoners want to be sandwich artists
Lol, that is funny Regarding the thread: A place like subway would not invest the money into drug testing. They would have to fire 3/4 of their staff. As long as you can tell the difference between a pickle and a tomato, I think they will be happy I've worked at places that do regular drug testing (operating heavy machinery), and by law they are allowed to test if you are CURRENTLY high on whatever substance. If you signed a contract that says you don't do drugs, then they can fire you for toking on your own time (technically, for lying).

I know for a fact subway doesn't drug test. I worked there with my cousin back in Austin for a few months, and we always went to work high....
