How tall is a 10 year old?

I am making an easel for the Kid Space at a festival. I need to know the height of a typical user. How tall is a 10 year old kid?

oh man i would say 4'6 or 7 for average,,, but i may be wrong,,,, my ten yr old wasnt typical at ten...she was taller than me at 9...

 

My son is 4'9" and towards the shorter end of the 10 year olds in our church group. But we have a lot of REALLY tall families here.

On Average I would have to say at least 5 ft. Or even more sometimes. But again on average I would stay safe at saying 5 ft!

I know I'm short, but 5 ft seems awfully tall for a 10 year old. I wasn't 5 ft until I was 12 or 13. I wasn't unusually short, either. I was normal height compared to my peers until high school, when I basically stopped growing.

You should probably make the easel a little low, anyway, for shrimps like yours truly. The taller kids can always just bend over, but the shorter kids don't have it so easy.

 

Could you make it adjustable?

 

then it would be a true rainbow easel,,,,, acceptin of all...

a bunch more work for brother mike tho...

 

I was 5'3" when I was 10.

 

I was barely 4 feet tall when I was 10. Granted...I am on the small side...
