Public greenhouse to start a crop

You can flame me if you wish for my stupidity but i think it would work. there is a botanical gardens here with public gardens inside and during these challenging spring months where we have 80 degree weather one day and snow two later (seriously it happened just saturday) But in the greenhouse they have potting soil, water, they water everything they have stater stuff and everything you ever want and i was wondering if i could start some there no to the point they know its weed like once it has more then a few inches or and odd # of leaves i would take it home but i could start it in the place theyy have and yeah... would i t work? has anybody tried it?

 

You could do but whats the point. Seeds can be germinated under your bed in a closet or any other concealed place a lot more securely. Unless you wanted to do it just for a laugh I wouldn't risk any prime seeds on such a scheme.
But keep thinking fresh ideas and new stealthy grow methods are a good thing.

 

Yeah it is partially for laughs, and i dont have to buy the seeds so thats not a problem, once i get some going ill surely clone but i just have trouble starting them here w/ parents and all once i get them going ill plant them in a basement grow room but i cant start them there easyly

 

If you make a basement grow room with your parents home...they're gonna find out.

Just put a seed in the soil there for shits and giggles and check back periodically to see how far along they help it haha

 

yeah, i fail to see how you could have a growroom in a basement that was safe to flower a plant in but unsafe to germinate a plant in. in terms of being caught, you'd have a much harder time being caught germinating pot than caring for it as it matures.

the conditions in which a plant is germinated usually has little to do with the final results.....thats more to do with genetics and the rest of the plant's life (particularly once it's flowering)

 

Its up to you but if you want to grow some plants do it outside. Its plenty warm enough where you live. Take a walk and find a few secluded spots. You can reap a massive harvest outdoors.
Dont want to sound like a do gooder but growing in somebody elses house is'nt cool. The plants nearly always get discovered and its hearbreaking losing them after a couple of months growth.
