man i saw the movie last night... good potential and all but too much fighting, and they overdid it a bit with everything... it could have made an excelent movie but they kinda screwed it up.
i reviewed half of this movie over a year ago (by watching 40 minutes in various scenes).... ill see it soon im sure but the build up has got my excitement about it down.
WHAT!!!! this movie was shit me and my friend left after about 5 minutes of it and snuck into another movie. I mean come on now, that mask is ridiculous and whats with him speaking all shakespearian.
Well, maybe it was shit because you only stayed for 5 minutes. You don't exactly get the meaning to it in that time.
i loved it! I actually saw it twice (made a bunch of my friends see it the second time.) some scenes made me cringe a bit, but i didnt even care. i thought it was amazing!
I thought the movie was good. It wasn't going to change the world or anything and the issues raised were quite flimsily dealt with but for a bit of simple sticking it up the establishment you can't fault it, especially with mass explosions to the 1812 overture.
i was kinda surprised about the blowing up of parliament part... but shows that censorship isnt really active in movies that much. there was too much blood in the film though, and yes the lesbian story was quite moving...
V for Vendetta is possibly the greatest movie about a controversial prospective future. V is awesome. I wish I had his linguistic skills and knowledge of explosives. His dialect is fantastic. My friend and I were wondering how long it would take someone to learn to tell everything about themselves with words starting in "V". That's why he's even cooler.
That's a great film, imo. V is a very interesting person, and i loved his dialogues. But i think it isn't a simple history, some people will hate the film, and others will love.
