Haha, well you see, I'm a bassist learning guitar, and I'm trying to use a pick,

BUT I justr can't hold onto the damn thing!
So... I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I don't want to hold onto the pick so hard I lose circulation in my fingers, but I also don't like dropping the pick or having it shift in the middle of a song.
So, I guess the point of this thread is, how do you hold your pick, and how do you keep from dropping it???
I've found I like softer picks better, and they seem to reduce my problem.

I guess you could tape or glue something with a rough surface to the edge of the pick where you grip it to make it less slippery. My picks go flying off every once in a while but I play guitar & your strings are probably thicker. But I heard that's a pretty good remedy.

i normaly hold mine on the second joint of the middle finger, with the index around the edge of the pick and the thumb pressing down.. Wow that sound complicated :\
