It was before I could speak, before I had words, so the words I use to describe it may be not quite perfectly matched to my actual experience.

I'm lying on my stomach (where? I don't know). I can't see them, but big people are oohing and aahing all around me. I am feeling and (I think crying about) some undefined physical discomfort (gotta poop? getting shots? being born? who knows?) but I am fascinated by whatever it is I see through the window in front of me.

I have studied The Lord of the Rings as serious mythology in order to find its deeper metaphorical meaning, and I would gladly sell everything and move to Middle Earth if it really were an option.

I can't pick just one, but the finalists (for widely varying reasons) are: Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, Joseph Campbell, Robert Pirsig, J.R.R. Tolkien, Steve Howe, and W.A. Bouguereau.

I would love to be able to grant total, instant enlightenment to everyone. The beauty of this would be simple, without judging anyone, the very same enlightenment would either be a reward or seem like punishment, depending on whether you have done some good or have to wake up to say to yourself "What have I done?"
