    Hallo :)

Just wondering what programmes y'all use to downloads music these days? Since Kazaa went all crappy I haven't found anything that's measured up. I've tried AresGalaxy, WinMX, EMule and something else which I can't remember but messed up the computer anyway!

I see a few WinMX's on the 'Desktop Backround' thread - Maybe I wasn't working it right, but it was slow as hell getting results and they were few and far between.

Aye, that seems to be the case! God bless Napster man, oh how it's missed. The only problem with Kazaa really is the people I choose to steal from :p - Always disappearing on me. The sods.

I use Kazaa Lite ... Soulseek is apparently the one to get for rare music, I don't know much about BitTorrent but that's supposedly the next big thing ...

I hate downloaded music because of the poor quality. When I want good quality music I've used a private network, but for a quick listen, I usually download with Kazaa.

I've used it for years and haven't noticed it "going all crappy". What exactly do you mean?

Kazaa Lite (sans adware) works just as good as it did when i first downloaded it years ago......there might be a few less yankees on due to the lawsuits and whatnot :) but i still get all the songs i want. If your looking for entire alblums go to suprnova.org and get yourself a bit torrent client, its a great resource.

you can just go to www.altavista.com and then search for music, and then when you're playing it just save it to your tracklist.

torrent's are the big thing, www.suprnova.org has a huge colection!!! though the site is unstable due to the vast numbers of hits it gets. but as it gets more well known, it will be abused. if you are bothered about quality, there are certain files you can download instead (but are hard to find), such as .flac 's, these are larger than mp3s, but lose alot less quality :) for something to download bit torrents, i'd try www.bittornado.com

Okay :& More help needed here if anyone has any clues!

I went for Gnutella Lite in the end. Tried a couple others but had to download other programmes just to run them. So yeah, Gnutella - Downloaded three tracks just now, two of which I can't play because of "Limewire's internal error detection"...

What do I do about this? Has anyone found any way to avoid these "bugs"? - I've sent LimeWire the report, but judging by the amount of bugs out there, I doubt very much that this will help.

So is it me or what? Phew, it all used to be so simple!
