ok, I admit that addiction to marijuana is mental and not physical but i know that i am in it deep now. I am only 14 and have a bit of a cultivation of the stuff in my woods. At school everyone knows me as the loveable pot head, but my parents refuse to believe it. my parents refuse to search my room or anything else for that matter. They are in denial, and dont want to believe that their oldest son is doing drugs. Its actually tearing my family apart and thats horrible.

A few weeks ago I took down all of the pro pot posters in my room and went into the woods and trashed all the pot. I was straight for about one week until I got the urge. It wasnt strong at first but got stronger as time went on. it wasnt like withdrawl but more or less like life was boring and mundane without it, and it kept getting more boring. I finally cracked and bought some from a guy at my school and smoked it as soon as I got home.

could anyone give me any tips on how to stop other than just lessining the amount every time? any tips would be appreciated.

That is another thing that I didn't put in the original paragraph. I have a fairly popular local band in which i play lead and sing vocals. most of my lyrics come to me while high and most of the guitar parts come to me when i'm not. and a lack of lyrics is really bad when you sing in an anti-capitalism band.

I just aint sure about it.....

really its all up to you. think about it...why do you want to quit? do you have friends who don't smoke? if you have a problem with addiction you'll have alot of enviromental triggers that make you want to use. when i quit it was because i got tested 3 times a week by my p.o. i had a friend who got busted with me so for the first few weeks we mostly hung out with only each other. all our other friends were getting high. this was a few years ago and now pot and everything else i used to do doesn't appeal to me. its alot about your state of mind, and gets easier after a month or two. really you just gotta know what motivates you. i'm starting to ramble huh?

oh ya i want to add a withdrawl symptom that made me crazy- i'd have dreams i was smokin and wake up feeling high and though i smoked. it was insane

Ummm Im not expert....but if you do it cause life gets boring. Take up in a sport or music or something. Something that excites your interst ...not drugs or anything like that. Im sure you'll get through this. And maybe if you really want it to stop that bad, talk to your parents about it. Im sure they love you and would like to help you quit! Good luck! And I hope everything works out okay.
