I wish stuff like that happened at my school. Discussions like that must be confusing aswell, but they'd certainly make a regular school day a lot more interesting!
That would be awesome, and to hear what other people arrive to as their interpretation of it. No doubt, you would get a million differant answers about what is "means".
For what its worth, I didn't see it as a Anti-Nazi murel, but rather an Anti-United States. With the Swaskita instead of stars, the "Artist(s) was putting the United States on the same level with Nazi Germany. That's my 2 cents worth. P.S. Who was Walter L. Sickles and why did they name a High School after him?
Yeah, I also saw it as an Anti-US thing as well...I have mixed emotions about it. Walter L. Sickles was some rich white guy, so they named the school after him. Down here in Florida, we have too many fucking kids...meaning we have a lot of fucking high schools...meaning we run out of important names. My school being relatively new (8th year) means that it doesn't have an important name.
Try having your school renamed honoring George Donner. About 15 years ago, a newly built University cafeteria was named in his honor until the trustee realized George Donner was the head of the "Donner Party" and changed the name. During winter in 1846 his group became snowbound in the Sierra Mountains of Nevada. They had to rely on cannibalism in order to survive until rescued in the spring. I wonder this is where the phrase "Tastes like chicken" originated?
I saw on the discovery channel, a thing on cannibalism said it tastes like pork. Because our muscles are similar or something.
The funniest thing about that story is they named the CAFETERIA after the cannibal! Hahahaha! I found that rather hilarious...
