If any of you have ever thought about getting tats on your feet,,,I just wanted to let ya know that the more you wear shoes the designs wear off,,,so if you ever decide to get something done down there youre better off goin barefoot or just not goin through the pain at all cuz they wont last long...

my friend has little snowflakes on the tops of her feet. She wears flip flops a lot but they aren't worn.
Now the bottoms of the feet, I have seen one tattoo on the bottoms of the feet. Those would wear quickly. I couldn't imagine getting one on the bottom of my feet.

i tattoo for a livin,,, they do wear off a lot faster that way,,and they wont take ink very well at all if you wear shoes after you get them,,,,the rubbing draws out the ink

My friend got a new tattoo on her foot and it's infected something bad...Guess she went to a bad artist. Ick. She wears sandals and stuff most the time, too...so...I dunno. I don't think I could stand getting my foot tattooed anyway, too ticklish.

She probably was walking afyter she got the tattoo and the skin broke,,,,, If you tattoo your feet you are supposed to lay or sit for at least a week,,, thats why a lot of people dont get it done,,,, It really sucks to sit on your ass for that long,,,and always make sure you use the a and d that the artist gives you for after care,,,
Or get your own aftercare,,,,tatoo goo is awesome or stick to the a n d both work

I have one on the top of my foot, it's only about 6 months old though. If it starts to fade, I'll just get it touched up like the others. It did hurt like a sumbitch, but to me, well worth it. ;)

Quick question...what do you mean by 'lay or sit for at least a week'? Like, as in no walking at all? That doesn't really sound feasible. I just wore flip flops or went barefoot for awhile. And I was stupid and had it done in the dead of winter LOL.

Lol,,,Brrrrrrrr Cold,,,,,,,,,, Thats why a lot of people dont get their feet tatted,,lol
You pretty much have to be a slug for a week for optimal results,,,when you walk,,,it makes the tightening skin on your feet pull apart,,,hence,,ink coming out and less vivid results,,, Some people heal faster and only have to sit it out for a few days before the scabbing over the tats is closed up enuff so that when you walk it doesnt pull the skin open,,,Lucky Them!!!

Well that makes sense, I would have never thought about the skin pulling. I was lucky and didn't have any pain when walking but OMG when I tried taking a bath I thought I was going to die when I got it wet for the first time...it burned like a mofo!

I have had my tattoo on my foot for almost 6 months, (I got it in the winter) and I wore shoes all the time. I went for a touchup because I was told that I should after a few months because it would have probably faded, and when I went the tattoo artist told me that it was better looking then when he did it in October. He took a picture and asked me to write down how I took care of it so he could tell clients the same.

I used a non scented moisturizer on it every day, and its still nice and dark. Sweating actually makes the ink darker. Now, I wear flip flops all summer and the band rubs right across the design, and I've not had a problem since I started wearing my trusted oneils end of March. Its a beauty.

Its not just the place of the tattoo, but its the quality of care you give to it. I took care of mine, and I still take care of it and it looks great. (picture in my gallery)

[IMG]How very pretty,,,,,The placement is awesome for minimal ink release,,,,very cool,,,Its on a more fleshy spot,,, what i meant by feet tats wearing off with shoes is the ones on the tops,,like mine..,not much room for your skin to heal,,,I love yours though,,,its very delicate n pretty
