In Ireland, people generally don't have circumcisions. It's not offered in hospitals, and any case I've heard of has been illegal back-door circumcisions. I don't see any reason why you have to cut a piece of skin off because you don't feel like having it there. While I was growing up, it was only a Jew thing to circumcise... I don't know why they do... Judaism isn't too common either... But I've been told it's common in American hospitals.

But the foreskin surely makes your penis that little bit wider? And the wider the better, eh?

Yes , topical steroids are the standard treatment now. Cutting things out is pre-historic.

 

Hi folks, I was circumcised age 6, because i couldn't get my 'bell end' out, my foreskin didn't roll back (is this what you mean by phimosis). I've never missed it and women don't seem to mind it, some even preffered it.
Aparently partners of circumcised men are less likeley to contract cervical cancer.
I don't feel mutilated.

phimosis is tightness of the foreskin - that's it - as Ezra said your foreskin shouldnt retract until you at least hit mid puberty - mine didnt until i was 16 - when a kid is born the foreskin is FUSED to his glans (dick head) and naturally seperates slowly during puberty...
I can see how you might feel this is turning into a beauty pageant for dicks but it's not - it's that someone took a scalpel , knife or whatever to a part of your body on shitty grounds and this shit has to go.
