420 Overrated?

i personally think that 4/20 is overrated. all of us would get high ne day we have bud, so why does 4/20 really make a difference... i mean ill get high today, tomarrow, the day after... i really dont care for the numbers...

the most annoying part IMO is how worked up some people get about it. i mean look at the forums, over have the threads right now are pertaining to 4/20 (and i cause im helping with that.. but w/e). whats also really ghey is non-tokers are always coming up to you and say stupid crap like "hey, are u high right now, cause u know its 4/20! and thats like, national weed smoking day! And yer a pothead, so u have to be high!".. idk i just get tired of all the 4/20 brew ha ha (always wanted to use that, yes!)

what i think would be cool would be a national psychedelics day... now that would be frickin sweet.. you and everyone else walkin around trippin all day, and you know some crazy awesome shit would happen. hell even if you were sober itd still be cool just to watch loads of trippin people

4/19 is Bicycle day...as in Albert Hoffman's first intentional LSD trip, he rode a bike.

4/20 is pretty annoying, but only at school where as you said there's non-smokers...but when you're around your friends, it's fun.

 

what I like about 420 isn't that it's a "national smoking day", but, that there's actually something that has a good connotation attached for pot smokers. We are treated so much like criminals all the time, to have our own sort of "holiday" is just a nice additive. I like having a day to look forward to that's actually recognized as pot-themed. It's like your birthday, but for everyone (who smokes)

 

now thats cool... i did not know that.. from now on - 4/19 will be my own personal tripping day.. in fact i want to start something cool, cause its not often that you can start a cool trend.

A day to smoke a blunt to the face and waste weed. What the hell, teaches you to conserve every other day then. I understand people that will smoke a whole oz or something, but what about those crazy 10 gram joints that end up going down and shit.

it's funny, in BC EVERYONE knows what 420 stands for

even on the radio today, on like a sports talk station, they were giving away hockey tickets to whoever knew the significane of 420, the guy who won was 65, i only feel that it's "overrated" on these forums because of the way ppl get so excitied about it, in BC it just seems like common knowledge lol

 

people who dont smoke that much, but on 420 they do... so its like that many more people lovin being high even if they'd never smoked. its all sorts of united and shit... i love it personally.

Basiclly... 420 yeah cute... Its lost all meaning now. 420 was old police code for a narcotics possesion. Nothing happened on todays date.... There was no move for medical marijuana.... No assasination attempt... Shit I've even heard a Rasta claim it was Bob Marley day... Marley-420.... Nope no signifacant ties...

420 was a code made by the waldos in some school in california. they made it so that they could talk about pot arround their parents or teachers without getting in trouble...not a police code

 

If it brings smoking to the attention of the masses surely it has to be a good thing.
