http://www.beachbikes.net/catalog/Basic Bikes/sixthreezero - cream:orange/Pages/Popup.htm i can't find any reviews of it, or any mention of the company elsewhere from their website... but i have been shopping around for a beach cruiser bike and this is the cheapest one that i like... does anyone have any experience with beach cruiser bikes? thanks.
cant say ive had any expeeriance with it but its one sick bike i must say and looks good for the price. ~Sage~
i spent several hours browsing at bike stores that had one or two of this style of bike, but for hundreds of dollars more. most of the mountain bikes they sold were for thousands??!! this seems like a MUCH better value. even if it breaks in 5 years, i can buy another and it will still be cheeper than buying 1 extra pricey one. i think i'll go ahead and buy this bike; and i'll let everyone know how it turns out thanks for the input
I have a similar bike. I LOVE it! I mean it, I generally do not have feelings for vehicles, but this is like a hippie van to me it's not very usual either, so it has a kinda personal feeling to it. you get a good pose when you're sitting on it (as you don't have to lean forward when you're sitting on it) and it's well-balanced, it's very easy to cruise through town without even touching the handles. I say, if you think can trust the site, BUY IT!
it's bought! now i just need a helmet. i'm thinking of this one: http://www.nutcasehelmets.com/popups/tie_dye.html but this one: http://www.nutcasehelmets.com/popups/jellybean.html this one: http://www.nutcasehelmets.com/popups/swirl.html or this one: http://www.nutcasehelmets.com/popups/sunburst.html are also contenders. a stranger walked into subway the other day wearing one of these "nutcase helmets", and i thought it looked awesome. i just have to track them down at a store.
get a light bike with very thin tires and bike all day long, as SLOWLY as you can in this manner, you will always go further, get better faster, and have a positive influence on the most people to also bike. my bike gets 1200 mpg. i ride wearing a bright shirt that advertises this wonderful fact. at least one guy in a BMW told me he liked the 1200mpg. idk about the others.
Personally there are two bikes in mind both with negatives and positives. Racers are usually lighter and go faster due to thin wheels and light frame. Though these bikes are not very good in wet conditions or rocky, gravelly surfaces. Also you have to be very careful because if you go round a bend too fast, you can come off easier than if you were on a mountain bike. Racers like going round bends that are angled. Anyway, I would go for mountain bike because in all terrain and weather, you can be confident that you will have a much more comfortable ride, though you cannot get as fast due to size of tyres. Their are cheaper mountain bikes online.
Hahaha, nice shirt. Thought for a minute there you were talking about a motorbike, thought "holy shit gotta get one!" My bike only does 80 mpg although that's damn good for a motorbike, what with fuel prices here in the UK (up to about a pound per litre, which is about $2 for TWO PINTS).
this is my mode of transportation....this might be a bit too late, but I would advise you to find one on the side of the road or a dump or something and fix it up......you WILL have the badest bike around, and you saved a bunch of money
I like the style - it seems like something a very laid back person would get. My favorite thing is the color though; very "beach". Go fo it!
Hi Allister (if you’re still around) I am thinking of buying the same bike, so just wondering how you got on with it? My girlfriend bought a bike from Beach Bikes for her daughter, it is made by Greenline and the quality is a bit bad. Both the wheels were buckled and you can see the welding in places is far from grate, and other things like that. The other bike that thinking of getting is the Firmstrong with alloy frame, it’s just the 630 looks so much nicer. Build quality is really important to me since I will be using the bike for transportation.
