Am I hot - Insanejester

It's been my experience that folks with large ego's are infact lacking in any true sense of self worth. What I more or less get from you is an inflated sense of self importance and superficial infatuation with your own vanity, certainly not behaviours, which in my opinion, exude confidence. Furthermore there's been a slight tint of homophobia to some of your posts in here thus far, another behaviour which, in my opinion, demonstrates your own sexual insecurities. If you were infact comforatable and confident with who you are there would be no need to ask this question in the first place and there would certainly be no need to respond individually to each person who said you are not thier type.

My advice, get over yourself, dare to acknowledge your insecurities because the ability to show weakness is the greatest strenght of all. You my friend, need to learn to link the person on the outside to the person on the inside, realise they're one in the same, and don't need to be validated by anyone but you. Untill then you are, as they say, shallow, a trait, which in my opinion, kills any chance of being attractive.

 

heheeeeeeeeee and yes I was being very kind but actually he is not my type because he has a ginat picture of himself under each of his posts and I think that's rather concieted for somone who is well...like I said before 'not my type'. Plus I have a lot of things to worry about...I wish I had time to go around and wonder and worry about how attractive I was and post threads about it, perhaps conduct an annonymous street survey?, flyers maybe advertising a focus group to discuss my looks? but unfortuntley i have other things to worry about...like my job, and work, and my volunteer work...perhaps I am jealous that he has so much time to focus on trivial crap and doesn't have these same worries or perhaps the shollowness and immaturity of it all simply disgusts me...immature men are an instant turn-off

I think that's really true. I used to focus so much on my looks and my weight and I really had nothing else going on in my life-no career, was doing horrible in school and my looks were a cover to mask the emptiness I had on the inside. have you ever heard the expression fat and happy? that's true to an extent not nesscearily the fat part but just when people are happy the last thing they are concerned about is their outter image because they are already sure of their idenity.

 

actually I just looked in his gallery and he is considerably better looking than you are both conventionally and 'type' wise. Also he appears to be getting planty and his girl's pretty freaking hot too...I think he's just secure maybe. anywho have a good afternoon y'all

This post shows a lot of wisdom. It does seem as though, with the progression of this thread, insanejester is a bit insecure. Then again, he may just have asked for opinions out of mere curiosity -- and there's nothing wrong with that. As I said, the only person who knows the real insanejester is insanejester. Anyone can post on an internet forum as a hardass.

There are things we don't know, such as the height of insanejester (something not asked) and whether he'd be this aggressive toward others in real life. Call it asshole behavior but it's often rewarded.

This may sound like an editorial, but lately it seems we have had threads initiated by people in their late teens lashing out at or attacking others when they are told they are not so good-looking or attractive, or not flattered to the degree they'd like.

I have to conclude that the common thread is too much of a concern for looks (conceit) and insecurity. This is especially true of that thread where one young girl called another a "slutty bitch." This seems totally inappropriate for a hippy forum.

This will probably be my last post in one of these useless threads. In a way I feel I have supported this mindless, fruitless behavior. It even reminds me of those "reality" shows on MTV where they put a bunch of spoiled kids together and nothing intelligent comes out of their mouths, because they are selected merely based on looks. The sad thing is that both insanejester and that other girl are not bad-looking (although I voted the alleged slutty girl as prettier than her in her poll).

What I have to say, as a last word to insanejester and that other girl, and others who think like them, is that you're young and your looks may go down real fast. I am still in my 20s and I have seen gorgeous girls I graduated with in high school, who I was too intimidated to talk to because of shyness, turn really ugly physically. One girl I was frigid with fear when sitting next to her in high school. Now I wouldn't even bother talking to her if I could -- she went from having near-model-type looks to looking below average. It's one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Myself, when I was your age, insanejester, girls were hitting on me quite often (and I turned them down). Now, even though I have been told I am good-looking (I have been lifting weights and running lately), I have to do the approaching. Maybe in time that will change again.

Point is looks go away fast. Almost everyone is cute as a teenager. So few retain it by the time they are 25 or even 30. Just look around at older people if you don't believe me.

 

insanejester you are one of the saddest and UGLIEST people ive ever come across on this website. you fail to realize that there are other opinions out there, and when you come across sometihng you dont like, you put it down because your assured that any way other than yours is wrong.

Somehow I think Insanejester expected the "haters" when he initiated this poll. Judging from his previous posts I'd postulate that he is well armed to deal them too.

So he wants to have an ego boost-- I challenge anyone to honestly say they don't like their ego to be pumped uip occasionally- go ahead and say it and I'll call you a fucking liar (or any other variety of liar for that matter!). Casting aspersions on his character for the manner in which he has chosen to seek feedback on how others view him is an act of hypocrisy. I'm sure he can take negative feedback-- but assaulting his character for making the poll makes the person dealing the insult look like an idiot.

 

I like my ego boosted but this is really not the place for that-not strangers on an internet forum who really don't know a thing about me or who mostly don't even know me well enough to give a flying fuck about me. I certainly don't go and downgrade them for giving their opinion in a polite and VERY GENEROUS manner.
