most 'mental illness' is just 'mental hardship'. who draws the line between natural and unnatural anxiety, if the anxiety is natural to the person? its one thing to use drugs to remove the emotional links to problems, so that you can deal with them, and its another to stop yourself from thinking about problems. and i know for a fact that most people do the latter, most people dont have the introspection, hence why they turn to professionals, who dont necessarily have much more of a correct idea then the patient themself. i mean, for example, people smoke weed to relieve anxiety. but seemingly paradoxially, the effect of weed on many people is that it causes anxiety when situations arise. this is because it doesnt cure anxiety, it just shifts the symptoms of anxiety away from conscious. but along with this goes all the healthy anxiety, the anxiety that keeps your life in balance, the anxiety that keeps you caring for yourself and the people around you. there are many cases of this happening to people who start becoming introverted smokers who just smoke by themselves. but TO THE POINT, NO drug cures anything. they only treat symptoms or provide suitable conditions for cures. to treat a drug like a cure will only make you worse in the long run. not just psychoactive drugs but drugs that effect your body too. thus i dont believe in using drugs to cure anxiety, but i support the use of drugs to help overcome anxiety. drugs might make someone feel better but that doesnt mean it is making them better. as for doctor diagnosed illnesses, i really dont give a rats arse what most doctors think about mental issues, because doctors arent legitimately trained to deal with psychological issues. hell, i dont believe most psychiatrists are either.
hell yea... all for it! but sometimes... like on 420 i want some people to smoke with me.... but no one smokes as much as me. hahaha
