Ok so I'm almost done building a lightbulb vaporizer following the instructions at: http://www.planetskunk.com/cannabis593.html . If anyone has built one before I have a few questions.... (Btw I used a 60 Watt lightbulb when it says to use 100 Watts + because we have 1 100 Watt lightbulb here and it seemed a bit weird so I wanted to try with a "normal" shaped bulb first) 1) Will a 60 Watt lightbulb cause a problem? 2) Will the lightbulb explode? 3) Will it get very hot when I light the bulb that I might drop it because of heat or burn myself? Should I wear some type of hand protection? Thanks!!
1. No probably not. The only reason they say to use a high wattage bulb is because at higher watts it heats up more so they're more heat resistant. 2.no 3.If you're holding the metal part it shouldn't burn you. Hold the tip of the flame right below the lightbulb where the weed is. You will see it start to "steam" that's the thc vaporizing. Start hitting it and keep lighting and enjoy the ride!
my roomate and some friends just did that, actually. i think they must have gotten a lower watt bulb (maybe 60) because the weed burns up instead of just vaporizing its crystals. everything is being done right but it just won't work right. the higher wattage is probably necessary. however, it's a pretty efficent use of weed. all of it gets used and no smoke escapes. but they don't like it... dunno why exactly (havn't really wanted to smoke lately). somehow it makes it "bad". lol ?
that's what i said. but they tried it agian and no matter where they hold it, it burns. i dunno... i had to go to work. but i mean, so hold it further away till it doesn't... i dunno. maybe they were too stoned.
Lightbulbs save so much weed it's not even funny. It's just kind of weird to use and you can't really put it in your pocket unless they are like size 50 jeans
i might try to use my vape tomorrow the only problem i had with it before was that it was windy outside and lighting it was such a bitch that i ditched it and made a bowl
yea be inside for it... My vapes work great, thoa it can get hot yes, but I doubt you'll actually get a burn mark from it unless you hold it where its really hot.
Anyone ever try using one of those pointy light bulbs for a vape? I would think that it's more efficient and portable...
