Although his intent is very good (creating economic cooperation between south american countries and decrease economic dependency on the US), I am not very fond of the idea of creating an oil pipeline to the amazonas, like Chavez wants. I really think it should be free from activity of the "modern" human.

 

This might be one of those US / Europe fault lines. Chavez was democratically elected, whether you like his politics or not. Certainly no more irregularities in the voting process than in the US... Personally I think that if you believe in democracy, you have to let a country choose the way it wants to go, even if you disagree with it.

 

Go Skip! I only just read all of the posts on this thread, even though I replied earlier. I don't know when I last heard anyone get accused of being a communist agent. It's almost got a pleasantly retro feel as an insult these days. Perhaps it's even a classic, vintage diss by now...

i am against violence ... however if i see someone at the recieving end of a bully or such them im sorry but i am in there feet first .. doesn´t mean i abdore violence .. or that i am a hypocrite .. but what is required at the moment is required and a part of life in reality.
