are the 90s already that long ago for people to have been that young then? i'm still getting used to the 80s being that far in the past. (and i was over 30 THEN!) i certainly do remember those things, hearing about them, seeing them advertised. i think digi-mon (digital monsters) may have been a spin off from the thamiguchi concept. hey if you've got a couple of them things, and the're what i think they are, i wouldn't mind having them to play with if you're looking to throw them away. the thamiguchi gizmos. the babblin elmo plusie i could live without. i do remember the near riots when the stors couldn't keep elmo in stock when that first came out. hey, hang on to them and keep them from getting too mouldy and you can probably find some collector on e-bay who'll give you more then you'd ever immagine them being worth to anybody for them. seeing star wars action figures in an antique store window still strikes me as kind of a mind fuck. =^^= .../\...
yeah, i just gave away my original tamagotchi to a friend who was itching for one... I know it'll be worth probably quite a bit someday lol but I'm happier if someone can be entertained by the little fucker for a bit... plus I forgot i had it lol. those things were great. oh, good ol' childhood days.
I hated those damn gigapets. My sister's would start screaming, at around 5 in the morning ... and wake me up and she was sound asleep and wouldnt wake up. Id get so mad I'd force her to get up and take care of the damn thing! lol
What about pogs? I never collected them, I was a bit too old for them when the fad was around, but my little sister had a huge collection of those things!
I had pogs and crazy bones but I only really had them casue my brother did, I never played with them though. I did have a rip off tamagotchi thing which I loved.
lol, i actually had a knock-off tamagotchi once called a DINKY DINO. what a stupid and great name, hahaha. i dropped it when my family was on a vacation in hawaii - we were snorkeling and for some reason i was playing with it, and i dropped it and it fell down this little hole in the boat. dad always used to tell me a shark found it and played with it. fucker. sharks dont play with tamagotchis, they KILL.
I remember the summer after they hit it big, and they were going for 99 cents at toys are us. The bateries inside of them were actually worth more than the damn toy. I had a digi-pet and a tomagotchi, and a mountain of pogs. all of which were banned by my school at the time... fuckers.
