Hi, I was just thinking of how useful it'd be to get some peoples thoughts on how they stay motivated in exercising and weight loss and caring for their health in general. What do you say? Tracy
Post a picture of the 900 pound man in your bedroom, on the ceiling, above your bed. Tends to keep me on the right track.
just do stuff... I try to do at least one thing a day... lift a little weight, take a jog, push-ups, ride my skateboard. and stay away from high calorie stuff... drink water and gatorade... take vitamins. you don';t need some hard-discipline routine or anything... just keep busy.
I don't eat sugar because I can't stand the thought of loosing my teeth. I run because I don't want to buy new clothes in a different size. I lift weights because I hate the thought of being a weakling. I eat healthy because I see the older people around me who are in amazing shape while in their 70's. I guess a love for life, a respect for the human body, and a joy in being physically active is enough for me.
Well, I'm certainly no athlete or health food nut-having said that, if I don't take multi-vitamins or get out and walk regularly or eat basically the right kinds of food, I feel horrible-I mean, just shoot me. I'm motivated to do those things by the way I'm gonna feel if I DON'T do them.
That made me smile! Good idea maybe... I've been trying to think so a way to get myself more motivated to eat healithily.
Why? I don't want to be motivated. If I was motivated I wouldnt get to eat corn pops and pizza and bagels every day. I wouldnt be able to smoke pot or listen to my music wickedly loud. I'd hand in all my homework on time, and go to bed before the sun set. BOOOOO(N). The only reason i would ever want to get motivated would be if I was already motivated....I would try to get motivated to become unmotivated so I could "So let me live my life the way I want to" Amen
Thats a lovely thing. I just love working out and I respect myself so I take care of myself. I've heard though that exercising in the morning helps make it a routine, and that keeps you motivated. It actually worked for me for a while. =)
well my goals are simple, just wanna stay nimble. bruschetta u can have motivation and still listen to loud music and eat corn pops etc. Just need to modify your goals accordingly. Like exercise more so u can eat more pizza, see what I mean I need to do my physiotherapy and yoga exercises cos without them I feel TERRIBLE. I try to do them in the morning but often it'll be dinner time and I still haven't done them, ugh. Gimme motivation baby!
AWESOME that is what I needed to hear!!!!!! I still have a hard time even sitting down to pee lol because I'm sore but I;m gonna hop back into things tommorow night and take it a little easier and just do power yoga once a week and ashtanga or hatha the rest and no more ass and abs classes lol!!!!!!!! thank you, all of you for the advice
