I just switched to the Birth control pill after being on Depo-Provera (the shot) for 6 months. The doctor switched me to Tri-Levlen 28 and this is the first pills i have taken and just started these 5 days ago the first 6 pills are red the next 5 are white then 10 yellow then 7 green. When should i expect to get my period on these pills? and Will my period go back to normal this month sense i was on a period for 6 months on depo-provera.
In a normal situation, your period would begin a day or two after you start the green "reminder" pills at the end of the pack. Since you just ended the Depo, I feel your body will need to adjust to a different form of BC before everything runs perfectly again. You may not have a normal period coming up, but as long as you stick with the pills, the next cycle should work itself out (no pun intended). So you have been bleeding constantly for the past 6 months? Damn. Are you still bleeding now, even on the pill? If so, the bleeding may continue until you are done with the green pills and start a new pack. On the days you take the green pills, your body is not given any hormones, and that makes the body think it needs to shed the uterine lining (your period). Hopefully, after the 7 days of no hormones, when you start the new pack, your body will go into a state of thinking it is "pregnant" (BCP hormones) and that SHOULD make the bleeding stop. Sorry if you already knew all that stuff. I have been on literally dozens of different BCPs in my life, and I have had many different outcomes that I consider myself to be somewhat educated on the subject. Good luck...I hope the BCPs work better for you than the Depo did.
i have not had a period in 2 days so 3 days on the pill after 6 months of a period it finely stopped im just hoping it dont start back up.
