My favorite Doors song is "The End" followed by "The Soft Parade" and "When the Music's Over." Just curious, does anyone have any Doors DVDs? I have two and I love 'em! Soundstage Performances is great, but it doesn't give you that "live feel." I also have The Doors Are Open, and it has that "live feel," but the sound and video quality are terrible. I also read an article on a new Doors DVD of their '68 tour in Europe with Jefferson Airplane. I might get that soon. Jim Morrison was just too hip!
My favourite Doors song is 'the End' followed by a live recitiation of Jim Morrison reciting 'the Celebration of the Lizard' in Madison Square Garden. The Doors are so fucking awesone they blow my mind.
the doors are killer man, and jim morrison is my hero. I strive to be just like him by drinking JD and smoking killer bud man.. that dude was such a poet and thinker. Some days I lie naked in my room, with my book of jim morrison poetry, and a doors lp on the turntable, just thinking about what it would be like to be Morrison. On occasional days, I would wear my best pair of black leather pants, and groovy open shirt to go with it, and my hair flowing in the breeze, and everyone thinks IM the reincarnation of Jim's spirit. I often go to bars, three sheets to the wind, and piss on the barstools for entertainment. I am the lizard king.
im a lazy lazy girl and i think ive replied this one already. the ghost song and stoned immaculate and LA woman are the best. mr mojo risin is an anagram for jim morrison. interesting huh?
ahh all the doors songs are fuckin awsome. my favorite being the end, people are strange, wild child, and this weird thing i downloaded off line thats really bluesy (if thats a word). All that crap about jim being a drunken womanizer..well sure....he drank.. and did alot of chicks.. but thats the territory that comes with that time.. and being a rock star n all...love em soo flippin much.
dude, how can you justify mocking jim morrison AND having a fucking darkness picture in your signature at the same time? strange days , whisky bar, and back door man are the best doors songs EVER.
Yeah the doors are so awesome they are my favorite band. My favorite songs are: "Peace Frog", "soul kitchen", and "Unhappy Girl" Jim Morrison is such a great poet! Pretty soon I am going to go to Paris and while I am there I am gonna visit his grave...I can not wait.
My favourite Doors songs, not necessarily in order: Sould Kitchen The Crystal Ship End Of The Night Take It As It Comes The End Love Me Two Times Unhappy Girl Moonlight Drive People Are Strange I Can't See Your Face In My Mind Love Street Not To Touch The Earth Wintertime Love Spanish Caravan Wild Child Wishful Sinful The Soft Parade Roadhouse Blues Waiting For The Sun Peace Frog The Spy Indian Summer The Changeling Been Down So Long Cars Hiss By My Window Hyacinth House Crawling King Snake The Wasp(Texas Radio and the Big Beat) I Will Never Be Untrue If I had to pick a favorite album I might pick Strange Days
My favorite moment in the career of The Doors was when Jimbo overdozed and stopped making that shitty music.
Hmm well some one is quite desperate at being the "non conformist" and also seemingly Desperate for attention.... seriously Folks This is a thread for Praising the greatness of the Doors.....if you don't like them then make a thread about not liking them.....don't flaunt your phallu-itical Opinons in our thread you pompous ass.
This thread is titled "The Doors", so all comments about them shall go here. Desperate for attention, yes... I'm a silly noobie that just posts here to get attention... Kiddo, I got all the attention in the world. why should I praise a band I dislike, I might as well comment on them.
as disrespectfully as possible, of course. the doors are awesome, but have any of you ever read the new creatures? ...the man is no rimbaud. but he did drink.
I can remember spending the longest time contemplating living the same life as Jim Morrison ... a shooting star, the way Morrison lived his life has always appealed to me for some reason.
have influenced me more than any other band to get out there and live life, to explore new sides and to never except an average time....Jims poetry album is a standard on my stereo and he will always be a God in my eyes....
My favourite Doors song is "20th Century Fox". I think its really groovy. The band I play in is heavily influenced by the Doors because I play keyboards and we dont have a bass player either, so I play the bass lines with my left hand. 20th Century Fox should have been a single...
