American Idol is the worst show EVER!

i agree, most people hate simon cowell but he is the only judge who tell you the truth i know sometimes that the truth hurts but thats life

 

I am ashamed to announce I watched a few episodes this season because my mom and sister watch it in the living room and I was sucked in like an alien beam and sat there and never got up to leave. Ah oh well not like my tuesday night would have been much more noteworthy without it. But I agree it is stupid, especially the beginning with the auditions. It is redundent, okay 2 or 3 decent to good people make it through in an hour and the rest is crap. Also Most of it is too strange to be true and seems staged.

Actually the term gay..originally meant Happy or cheerful until the homosexual community usurped it.

Many words have double..even triple meanings that are not related. Just look through a dictionary on occassion and see.

Gay people don't own words. It isn't a copyrighted term.

It would appear that the word Gay now has three meanings.

Gay: Happy, cheerful, gleeful, ecstatic
Gay: Homosexual preference
Gay: Lame, silly, stupid, unworthy of praise..ect.

Man. I absolutely LOVE American Idol. I don't watch too much tv, so I make sure that what I do watch is worth my time! I wasn't thrilled with this year's result (though rather Taylor than Kat any day), but it was a really enjoyable season on the whole. What a talented group!

i used to like it just to laugh at some of the people to tried out....now its just boring. I can't stand it.

 

my friend has an amazing voice so she tried out for the show and all ... she didnt make it because they were looking for the horrible/ entertaining people first ... its a pretty fake and fucked up show simon, paula and the other guy ... wasnt eventhere ... its a stupid show

That act with two kilt wearing youths with electric guitars parading the stage like they were goths. How bizzarre.

 

American Idol is so terrible but the audition episodes are sadly entertaining.

All of these "talent" programs are the same, loads of morons that have been told by a family member, usually a parent, that they have a fantantic singing voice when in reality they sound like a chorus of drowning pets! Even if they do win their debut single comes out, goes to number one in the chart then they end up working at McDonalds or some shit, I think only about 3 acts that have won the uk versions of these shows (Popstars, Pop Idol, Fame Academy & X-Factor) have ever gone on to have successful careers.

 

This is the frist season I've watched it, and I'm ashamed to admit, I like it.

If the show actually took itself seriously i still wouldn't care for it. Only pretty people would still make it the way they do now. But the fact that the show realizes its lame, and capitalizes on the lame entrees just makes me want to barf. It's like "Hey we suck as a talent show, so why not turn it into a comedy?" i for one will not laugh at a person or find happiness in making fun of somebody because they suck.
Oh, and just another note. It's down to the top 12 now, and i actually watched it the other night and not really any of them are anything special. I can sing "Jeremy" better than that Sundance fella (i know he got kicked off, but hell he made it pretty far with not much talent)

 

The show is horrible. Also, the winner is put into a restraining contract with a RIAA label.

 

yep. honestly i think that people want to make it to the very end and then lose. all that publicity and free to sign to whoever. still gonna get fucked tho.
clay aiken lost to ruben studdard or whatever and he got a better deal and sold way more albums...
