"dancin in the streets" 5.9.77 Cornell University.....it is 15 minutes of just awesome jamming......it is a huge change from those early "dancin in the streets"...much more funky.....jerry is using his wah pedal all over the place.....and at the end there is a vocal jam between jerry, bobby and donna that is gliding over this beautiful soft jam in the back....it is orgasmic!! the whole show is is amazing....but the "dancing..." stands out alot, because it is almost out of character, but that is the dead!!!

dude, check out the dark star>wharf rat>dark star from 1971-02-18. the first wharf rat ever and the second dark star is one of the most beautiful jams I have ever heard.

if you like Dancin' - the best there is is 10-27-79 Cape Cod Coliseum, puts Cornell to shame - incredible. Such a great second set. Also of note is Phil's intro into the Other One - perhaps the most powerful you'll ever here

    Some of my personal favorites

2-11-70 - Dark Star > Spanish Jam*>Lovelight* with Greg and Duane Allman and Peter Green - Phil is just a monster on this Spanish, too bad the whole show isn't in circulation. after 21 years of listening to the band, I have only found this 45 min segment from this show

    2-13-70 - Dark Star > Cryptical > Drums > Other One > Cryptical - essentially 3 tunes all 30 minutes long

4-14-72 - Good Lovin > Caution > Who Do You Love > Caution > Good Lovin - Pig at his finest

2-15-73 - Dark Star > Eyes - incredible Phil solo inbetween Dark Star and Eyes - when Jerry joins him, there is about a minute of the two just playing together and it is perhaps the most beautiful minute I've ever heard from them

11-17-73 - Playin' > Uncle John's > Morning Dew > Uncle John's > Playin' - the transition from Morning Dew to Uncle John's is beyond belief - will leave you shakin your head saying I can't believe what I just heard

5-8-77 - Morning Dew - the final jam here is legendary and in my opinion the most powerful jam in recorded music history - look up crescendo in the dictionary and it will reference this

7-15-84 - Do it in the Road > China > Rider > Playin > Uncle John > Don't Need Love - a great Brent Night

7-7-89 - Blow Away - my favorite Brent tune and this one is so very unique

3-21-91 - Victim > Scarlett > Fire > Stir it Up Jam - a crazy dark Victim into a wonderful Scarlett and then Jerry brings down the house with his singing on Fire on the Mountain along to the Stir It Up which is just oh so peaceful

10-`7-94 - Eyes - 25 minutes long of pure bliss, I believe the longest ever and so beautiful and different from most Eyes

those are some of my choice favorites

That 15-minute live "Deal" jam. Whenever I used to watch them play it, I was almost hyperventilating by the time it was over. Especially from Oakland 12/18/93.

I need to agree with this one, it is a fantastic jam.

I also really like the jam that is on the fourth cd of: "Ladies and gentlemen, The Grateful Dead"
I really like the guitar there just before they start with Going down the road feeling bad.
