Not as a Christian but as a man who's been through it. Watch how much you indulge bro. Actually, I'd much rather be around weedheads than alcoholics though. But, that's a personal thing not a church thing.
I agree with Portalguy. Moderation is the key; if you don't overindulge, and can keep your wits about you, drug use isn't a problem, be it a glass of wine, a few beers, a joint, or whatever. Also, drugs should not be illegal, as that article described. No one but the user is (potentially) hurt by drug use alone, and any offense to God is religious, and Congress can't make religious laws.
i know not to overindulge. i was just using that to show people who say that one puff of weed is a sentance to eternal torture. they can say the bible says no getting drunk cause it does. but yea thats what i meant to say. its all good as long as you arent using it too much
you WILL "go to hell" if you let drugs take over your life. there is no "hell" except the absolute worst, least desirable outcome of any decision you make. and the worst outcome is the one that seperates you from who you want to be. so if you find you can't go a day without smoking pot, without getting angry at people you love or thinking about anything else, you are "in hell". then, drugs can bring you to "heaven" by uncovering dark corners of yourself where you might have been hiding things that are actually good for you because you were too scared to look for them, or had no idea they were even there. as long as you are happy, truly happy, not just in denial or happy until you run out of whatever it is you're addicted to, NOTHING is bad for you. just decide what it is that can make you that happy, and you'll find it's probably NOT doing anything the bible "forbits" excessively. find your own limits.
Jesus ate more drugs than Timothy Leary, Mckenna, and Hunter S Thompson combined. The funny thing is he also smoked more too!
there's no way the dude who wrote the book of Revalations wasn't trippin' balls when he put quill to parchment......
He probably wasn't on drugs at all. He had been exiled on the island of Patmos all by himself for 40 years. He wrote it in his late 80's I believe. What data we have suggests that he was just nutty as a fruit cake; probably didn't need drugs.
Yeah, i seem to remember they sent him to Patmos after a failed attempt to kill him by boiling him in oil as well....... and that he suffered hullucinations from a mold that grew on badly stored grain (rye, I think), which was common at that time..... Wotever he was on, i don't want any of it, lol
Yeah, ergot. What do you mean you don't want any? That's like, raw-form of LSD, haha. Or, a nonsynthetic one.
there's tripping and their is tripping....... i have a feeling it would've taken more than a handful of xanax for John to get over that one EEK!
