This may sound like I don't know what I'm talking about, but I really dont. How can I join the New Age movement? It sounds like a path I'd like to follow, but I dont know of any New Agers in my town. Most people here, including my whole family, are die hard Babtists. I do not agree with that following completely, but I have never said anything to them. How can I find someone else here thats into New Age? Please reply.

Well, I would look it up on the internet for starters- you may find people that live by you. (I'm not really a New Ager so correct me if I am wrong!) Good luck!

The new age is the old age. Just be yourself and love. Do a search in your state to find out where there is new age or metaphysical shops. Check out the shop, and let the person you know working that you interested in being apart of a community. Also the stores should have a newspaper or some sort of fliers that keeps everyone networked.

I hate the term new age...It's overused and nobody seems to be able to explain it or give a definition for it.
I prefer to call it a spiritually aware lifestyle. And it's not a movement or religion. Religion seems to be about controlling others by saying "you either believe this or you'll burn in hell." People who are spiritually aware will discover things about themselves by experiencing them. That's what it's all about, and there are many things part of "new age" that have been around for thousands of years (tai chi, shamanism, wicca, runes, and many more)

New Age is as much a prison as Baptist Christianity or any other religion. The only thing to know it that you are the One. You are Infinite Possibility, as we all are. Religions are another method used by the control matrix to keep us from realizing this, taking back control of our bodies and existance, and being free. You are all that is. Big and small, short and tall, snuggly and ugly. Be free. It's not a journey, it's just as simple as realizing you already are. Don't try to be free... BE free! And forget about all these prison religions.

Spirituality and religion are Different.. the new age that is coming.. is more on spirituality.... Sadly many of us are still clinging to the old, to the material, to that which is of no use to you. The concept of materialism is a notion that is dying, and should do so for it has been the master of most of our lives on the earth. :)

Is 2012 when the aliens come to enlighten us in our primitive ways???

My friend...the Old Age is where spirituality and religion were in perfect harmony....it is in this newer age....the past 2500 years....that it has
become all about "religion" per se....

But sure...if this world universal spiritual change is coming is 2012...then I
    say "bring on the aliens"

hehehe... aliens have been here all the time my friend... I have edited my first reply to this topic. Iam sorry to have said that the old way is the religion Iam wrong about that(Every religion is good).. the real old way of humans is the material.. the materialism of humans that is the old way.. We must still stick to what religion we are in and Embrace the new knowledge, love and peace of the year 2012 would bring here on earth. The age of aquarius.:)
