yeah so, my friend luiza peirced her ownlip, and im like oo i wanna do it too!! so i said yeah im gonna do it, so i did it, i bought a freaking needle and a ring and i peirced my goddamn lip and this is what it looks like, its fucking awsome. but i didnt stop there, i decided to peirce my ears while i was at it. i have had them done three times before but i always let them grow in. and then, i was like oh well one more wont hurt, so i decided to peirce my upper ear, i cant seem to get a clear picture of taht tho, its really cute i love it, ahah neways yeah
seecckkkksssaaayy! that is very hot. i also have my lip pierced on the same side, and my ears and eyebrow. very good choice. quite risky that you did it yourself, so be very aware in taking care of it. take good care of the sucker! mine was a bitch healing because i have huge lips.
haha yeah mine was really swollen there for a while, but its gone down, im puting lots of peroxide on it. so it dont get infected. that wouldnt be good, but i love it thanks for the comment, made me feel good
yeah, i had a lot of trouble eating for a while, it would bleed if it moved, very annoying when you have to eat at meal hall with lots of people. i almost took it out at one point, but I am so glad I didn't because i LOVE it. it's fun to switch up the ring with a spiked bar as well. what gauge is yours?
hha yeah ive barely eaten since i got it, its jsut a big iscore *sp?) but i think it will be worth it in the end. umm im not sure what gauge it is. i just picked up a ring at walmart and a 132 sewingmachine needle and had at it. lol. sounds kinda gruesome but hey i got what i wanted and im taking care of it so thats all that matters i suppose
You should clean it with Spectro Gel (the face wash stuff) My friend got her lip done and the piercer told her to put a little bit on the end of a q-tip and clean the outside of the piercing with that. Then to clean the inside of the mouth part to just use mouth wash with no alcohol in it. It looks great! Keep good care of it!
ahh it looks great! i wanted to get one there too.. but as i play the flute i can't, they say the piercing gets in the way somehow. you're very brave to have it done yourself ^^' take care
Gross. Don't clean it with Peroxide and put bacitracin ointment on it. When you feel it's infected, gargle warm salt water. I like the piercing, though. I had my labret done. If you plan on taking it out, plan to have a nasty scar.
yeah im cleaning it with that too. and my mom suggested rubbing alchohol and the salt water. yeh my friend's dad made her take hers out, and itleft a scar, but it wasnt that bad really
do not use rubbing alcohol, alcohol isn't good for an open wound... it's much better to get an antiseptic, or, at the best, go to a piercing place (if there's any around) and buy a little bottle of some cleaning stuff for about five dollars. i've definitely been told many times not to use rubbing alcohol, from what i've heard it stings and aggravates the healing process... anyone else hear bad things 'bout using rubbing alcohol?
I've heard bad things about using peroxide. I used it on all mine, until i heard this. I don't imagine rubbing alcohol would be much better
morrison, mine was in for about a year, though. So, it's a pretty nasty scar. Why waste 5 dollars on something from a tattoo/piercing shop when hot salt water does the exact same thing there, wonderboy?
personally, i like using sea salt (which you have to buy anyways, for around 5 bucks at a supermarket) and another cleaner, even if they do about the same thing. the sea salt isn't very portable, and as i'm out working/doing whatever a lot of the time, i can clean it easily with a spray or something. also, don't some of the cleaners from piercing places actually work more effectively than sea salt cleansing? either way, you're good to go using either. good point.
yeah, sea salt or saline solution is what i used... you've got guts, girl. the most i've pierced on my own were my ears.....I got my labret and nose done at a shop.....
yeah ive been using hot water and sea salt. my sister told me to do that. it works really well and takes away some of the pain.
Haha...somehow I knew before I even opened this thread that you pierced it yourself. No offense meant. It looks nice right now.
