I know there's a thread here about hair loss, etc, and I apologise if some of what I'm going to say has already been covered. I have always had thin, fine, flyaway hair, right from being a little child, and I have suffered a few bouts of temporary hair loss due first time around being put on strong medication as a child, and in more recent years due to stressful personal situations. About three years ago, I lost a lot of hair from the front of my head extending from the forehead down to the right temple and around the ear area. It's growing back very fluffy baby hairs now, which is an encouraging sign, and I style my hair so that the top hair covers up the baldie patch. Still knowing it's there bothers me a lot, since my hair is important to me, being a long haired hippie type. Generally my hair is very thin and I have tried lots of commercially available products (some very expensive, some more reasonable) but I just wondered if any of you folk into natural remedies could suggest something alternative that might help bulk up the thin appearance of my hair, and/or encourage the baldie bits to grow back. I hardly ever blow dry my hair, I've stopped using products to thicken it, as this only caused bad tangles and even more dropouts, and I am trying to make sure that I have the ends trimmed regularly, even though I don't like hairdressers messing with it. Is there anything else I should be doing to help the health of my hair?
Have you ever tried Capilong? I'll post the thread I just recently talked about it in. I am using it now. Not for hair loss but for hair growth. My aunt had some hair loss and it helped her. I wish you well. http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158291
Thanks Peanuts! I'll check it out! I guess since it's an American product I will probably have to order online but that's no problem. Cheers!
