dont you just hate it when the operator thing comes on and is like," the number you have dialed is out of service, please check the number and try again" in complete monitone(spellings probably wrong)....I HATE IT THOUGH....she needs to stop, or they need to make it a gay guys voice or something to spice it up a bit so you won't be so pissed after hearing it. man... dont hate me but, i dont like grateful dead at all... i thought i would hear something cool , different, psychedelic ... but this is like rock music gone too country. i prefer CCR and country joe over GD anyday.
ya...im not hugely into the dead. some of their live shows are cool, but i pretty much just like 3 of their albums, and really love them. have you ever listened to "anthem of the sun" phil? thats their most psychedelic music they've made that i know of, its very good. i think that would be the best dead album for you if any
humm no i havent. i only ever listened to American Beauty, because everyone says its their best.. but man, i only liked Candy Man, and now i hate it... lol. But yea... i would defenitely like their more psychedelic stuff.
blegh. i dont like their psychadelic stuff and longgggggggggggggggg ass jam stuff, though i'm sure many would contest that it's their better work. dont get me wrong, i like jam bands, but i'm not huge on the dead for it. a lot of the music is folky though..not exactly country.. ahah. jerry's got some good folk roots. i really like that stuff, but i'm really into folk, myself... the music is still mellow, GD, that is... and thats good. ahha .
ya, same here meg. im actually not a hug jam band fan at all, cause i've just got so bored of most of the loooong endless jams that go on for over 10-20 minutes, not my thing anymore. i still listen to phish every so often for music like that, but thats about it. i do prefer the dead when it comes to albums like "workingmans dead" and "amercian beauty".
