The quality of artists at Bonnaroo is steadily declining. They are gearing the festival towards the Indie rock genre, which, in my opinion, is complete garbage. Radiohead is OVERRATED beyond comprehension. The only extremely good artists playing are Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Phil Lesh & Friends, Oysterhead, moe., Beck, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, MMW, and Rusted Root. The Disco Biscuits and Umphrey's McGee are definitely talented, but not exactly my scene. I liked how Bonnaroo was, for the most part, a hippie festival similar to Woodstock '69. My fear is, this year, the drug culture at Bonnaroo will be more limited and the general morale of the audience will be more depressed/angry. Despite the aforementioned complaints, I will still be attending, simply because the artists I spoke about are classic and I would not miss them for the world (I've already seen Tom Petty, moe., and Robert Randolph multiple times). Just my two cents.

u are right, but they make an effort to get a variety of different kinds of artists

ive never been to the bonnaroo festiviles so i have nothing to compare it too, but i did like the artist list..of course u may be right(and im assuming u are) that the other years had better music..thanks for the two cents

I'll be there for: Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Phil Lesh & Friends, Beck, Umphrey's McGee, Damien Marley, Bela Fleck, Cypress Hill, and fun.

I think the diversity is good. They have top artists in so many genres, from the classic hippie staples to techno, bluegrass, hip hop, classic rock and roll, jazz fusion, reggae and yes, indie. And there's no way the drug culture will be limited, come on, it's Bonnaroo.
