1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

I studied abroad my sophmore year and met some amazing people. One of them, this girl, I freekin loved her. Were both americans. she dated this other dude, so i left that alone, and then we came back to the states. me and her kep in close contact, mostly online, every few months on the phone, but the miles separated us. then last month, after we hadnt spoken for awhile, she sent me the nicest email that i have ever received, saying that i was the only thing that ever balanced her out, that i was always optimistic, and that i am one of the best people that she has ever known. it was just one paragraph, probably written in a fit of frustration with whatever her situation might have been, but i believe it to be genuine. i dont know how i should interpret it. i emailed back, of course, but im left wondering if she was just trying to thank me or if she meant something more by it. unfortunately, i just checked me aol account and it appears that i have deleted it by mistake. i kept meaning to print it or save it somewhere, but now its gone for good. its wording might be gone, but il remember its meaning.

we are both about to gradute, neither of us have any real plans for the future, and i would have no problem with flying out to meet her and falling in love. a mutual friend is planning a reunion for a bunch of us, and that would be the perfect opportunity. i really hope she can make it.

    wish me luck
