Regardless whether it is a cultural creating, it still exists.

Over the years I have become very cynical about the love thing.

Romance can mean different things to different people. It doesn't always have to mean that you were swept off your feet and wined and dined and written poetry two whilst being serenaded from a balcony. Romance can be found in the little things a partner would do for us, no matter how little they are, to let us know they love and care for us. I think romance can be found when somebody tells you they love you, and when they just want to lie beside you etc....

Huh, go figure. I wrote a paper similar to this back in high school. this article is better than mine though. Intersting that someone out there actually believes what I believe. Doesn't mean I don't like romance, or expect thoughtful gestures from my boyfriend. Afterall, I've been programmed just like the rest of you. But in my opinion, the article is dead on. It isn't natural. Then again what the hell is in life these days.

Should love immediately lead to marriage, or is it compatible with marriage? - not necessarily. Is it something that was manufactured and indoctrinated into us? -bullshit. Anyone thats fallen head over heels for someone should know that its psychologically deeper than say liking a certain hockey team, or a brand of smoke.

Love is a choice... believe or not...

but when your receptive glands pick up the pherimones of someone chemically/genetically matching for you...

make up a word for it.....
