thank you for supporting local music.

Fareed Haque Group is a project out of Illinois, but Fareed is known for taking off later Thursday night, driving to one of two gigs almost anywhere (or flying) and making back to Ill. to teach on Monday.
This current line up is completely new for these three shows (hoping for a Keller appearance tonite: Fareed is on KW's new disc) and although obviously new to each other they pulled off a smoking show last night.
Keys, drums (kit), tabla and FH's guitar and guistar (a guitar modified in design to have may sitar charecteristics).
    This run, no bass.
Sadly, I saw no tapers, but perhaps that will remind folks to get out there and experience it!
(My best Yonder show, 11/19/00 was" lost to the ether," in Jeff Austin's words)

    Support LIVE music!!

Dulcinea's is next door: lots of post show drop ins.
No Keller, alas but Jeff Austin was in the house.
Very good show for the group's second time to play together. I quite like the line up & yes, the "kids" bring a bundle of energy to the stage.
Corey (drums) is a monster. and still at uni!
Salar on tablas made the nights.
Fareed broke out the "guistar" both nights.
A new-to-me piece, Chants, was stellar.
