okay, not quite a month ago i started taking the pill (trinessa....a generic for ortho tricyclene (sp) i think)...it makes me break out horribly, i've gained weight, and i'm almost constantly excessively...wet...not to mention it makes me horny as a 15 year old boy all the time :p (before i started it i had a very low sex drive). i left for the weekend last week and forgot to take it with me, and i think i'm starting my period early or spotting or something now (i guess that'd happen with everyone/all pills/etc. though)... should i call my gyno and ask her to switch it to another one, or what? (and for refills, do i have to call every month and ask her to call it in?)

haha sorry, dumb newbie questions. :p but yeah...has anybody else had these problems with trinessa??

according to my birth control pack

if you miss 3 ormore pills in a row, discared the pack and start a new one that same day, use a backup method of birth control for at least a week, and be aware that you may not mensturate next time around

As for your side-affects well... I'm personally not a fan of the triphasic pills (ones where each week has a different dose of hormones)... they seem to have more problems than the monophasic ones (for three weeks, same dose of hormones, then one week without). I used to be on tri-cyclen, got a ton of yeast infections on it, whereas Alesse (monophasic) just gives me mild pms 2/3 months

Have you talked to your doctor about finding another pill? I mentioned the yeast infection thing to my doc and she suggested that I try Alesse, that triphasic pills are bad for stuff like that but monophasic ones are usually less problematic
