tins vs. bags

when you buy weed, do people where you live tend to put it in bags or tins? if they put it in bags, do you switch it to a tin once you get it?

here in talkeetna we use tins, which i really like because you know exactly what you're getting. an altoids tin is an eighth, and you usually get a little more than you bought. but i went to visit my boyfriend in wisconsin and bought pot twice, and both times, recieved it in these ghetto little bags. i hate that, because how the hell are you supposed to know if you got enough without weighing it? and you lose all the crystals to the sticky fuckin walls. if you have a tin and use it over and over, when you run out you can scrape the resin off the walls. plus when you're stoned one of the funnest things to do is decorate your little case with high times clippings and random little pictures or stickers . it just doesn't make sense to me to NOT have your own tin...

so, how does it go down in your neck of the woods?

but usually from my dealers i just get baggies

i dont see how the bag will pick up the crystals, unless you got some weird ass sticky fucking baggies where you live

i dont decorate nothing, i get right to the point i dont waste my time with immature shit like that, and i tell if its enough for what i payed because i can actually see it and feel it in my hand

BUT if its really really bomb and can smell it through the house then i put it in my air tight case

wow... thats alot of shit to carry in a pocket if your a dealer.. walkin around with multiple altoid tins... it all depends on what kind of baggie i get my stash in.. if i get it in a zip lock.. im cool with the zip lock.. but if its just a normal baggie.. i put it im my jar...

i only have experience with two bags and both collected shit on the sides of them.

decorating is "immature", but so is insulting people over the internet. personally, i like to spend my time doing creative shit rather than wasting it being a dick.

and the dealers here don't walk around with tins, most people have their own that they use over and over again. that is generally how everyone here does it, and i didn't mean to insult anyone (i didn't think people would take it seriously, or get so defensive)

and, i don't smoke crack. if i did, what would that have to do with anything?

dont be hatin on the pill bags. Say you get stopped be the cops and you need to ditch the shit fast, whats gonna be more noticable a small baggie laying on the side of a road or a multicolored altoid tin? IMO a dealer carring around 20 metal boxes sounds retarded.

well, seeing as bags are extremely cheap for a boatload of them, I can see and smell what I'm buying, and it makes traveling from your dealer's house back to your own home easy, I'm gonna have to say bags. I don't use tins because they do take up more space, pot can get trapped in them and it can be really hard to get it out (waaay too lazy for that crap), and no, I wouldn't decorate my tins even if I used them, ESPECIALLY with high times stickers and/or other pot stuff...it's going to be kind of obvious if your altoids can is covered in pot leaves and other stuff like that.....
No, just for simplicity's sake, bags are the way to go.....

 

my friend today was talking about how he hates to see weed in bags. he swears by his altoids tins. he also mentioned losing crystals to the bag. i'be been smoking for a long time but this is the first i ever heard of it. maybe i should hunt around for that old Myntz tin I have somewhere.

I've never seen a dealer with tins... I'll buy it, then keep the baggie of weed in a small tin I've got with a sweet ass rose engraved on it... But i used to use altoid tins forever... They were the perfect size for my little chillum and a small stash... yep

 

What are altoid tins we don't have them here in the UK

If you have really dank shit that wasnt kiefed by the dealer, some crystals do stick to the side of the bags. I have always been given my purchases in bags, from all the different people I have bought it from. I have heard of people using altoids tins, but I am confused. What do you do, go to your dealer with an empty tin and ask for a refill lol? I'm also confused how you assume a full tin is always an 1/8. Bud density makes a huge differnce. I transfer my bud from the baggies to my airtight bud jar, but altoids tins seem pointless. They are far from airtight, a ziploc is actually better...

Also people, in Alaska up to 4 ounces is LEGAL, so I doubt she is going to be worried about a tin with weed stickers on it.

 

Is weed really legal in Alaska? After all its still an American state.I live in the UK so am not to knowledgable about your state laws.

 

Well, not really legal. But they ruled in the 70s I think that under the state constitution definition of privacy, people can have up to 4 o's in their house. I'm not sure about on your person or in your car though.
