Any1 going to Wanee (Apr. 14/15), Wakarusa (June 8-11), or Bonnaroo (June 16-18)? Im def. going to Bonnaroo but I want to go to Waka too since its right before it but $$ might be of the essense. Going to be a nice nice roadtrip but havent decided if I wanted to fly (if I go to Waka) to Kansas, and either get a ride from KS to TN for Bonnaroo. But thats if I go to Waka, because I got a friend who is going to Bonnaroo who would drive to pick us up at Waka. Ehh, im sure all will go as planned when the time comes. Whats your guys plans / transportation?

PM me if you need the hookup at Bonaroo or Waka, bringing the greatest :)

    -Peace

i doubt anyone really needs to get hooked up at roo, it's a free-for-all of the most fucked up people in the country. There are tons of hicks selling gal jugs of shine, lol that's the funniest part... last year this one dude practically forced my buddy to take a swig of shine from his jug. Another hick pretty much forced me to give him a couple bucks for a big ass pabt';s blue ribbon beer and a big ass swig of tequila haha... good times.

"come, we shall get wasted and pass out in the hot sun"

Flying sucks, the ride there is half the fun.

I'm probably going to 10klf, waka, and vibes.. only one that is set in stone right now is vibes for me.

Yeh youre right, no1 will need to be hooked up by me, but just incase, good L floating by me too. Whys Bonnaroo not on your plans? Only 5 days after Waka and a "drive away".

I would love to go to Bonnaroo, but my only issue would be other people to go with. My good buddy who would go lives in a different state, so after the semester is over it's going to be hard for us to make plans. Price is an issue too, not necessarily for me, but for other people who might go.

The website said that tickets include camping, so do you just bring a tent and whatnot and pick a place where ever, or what? Sounds like a bangin good time though. Hopefully it'll work out.

Because I would have to take all my vaca days (10) to go to bonnaroo and waka, then take all my remaining sick days for 10klf and vibes. don't get me wrong if you got the resources roo is worth checking out, mostly due to its incredible size, but I am forced to decide seeing trey, string cheese, keller with string cheese and a bunch of other 'heady' bands that i am into, versus bonnaroo where i am pretty sure the vibes will be a lot less heady this year. I really wanna see soulive and mmw at a huge fest like that though, but no one I know is going really, they're all hitting waka or 10k or vibes or all good, no one wants to go to roo this year. IDK if I still feel like shit day in day out by the time fests start rolling around I will not be going to any of them, which would really suck and ruin my whole fuckin summer. That's why I said only one set in stone is vibes, cause I am pretty much counting on doctors fixing me by then.

It's like all othger festivals basically you drive in where they tell you, they line all the cars up in rows and leave a certain area for tents, and you pitcxh your tent right next to your car. The hot tennesee sun sucks my ballbag and you will surely be waking up in a pool of your own sweat about 10 mins after sunrise if you're sleeping in a tent. There's only one thing to do when you're forced to get up that early: smoke blunts. Lots of em.

I want to rent an rv this year if I make it out to any fests cause i need my fuckin sleep or i am a groggy grouchy son of a bitch and my body is too tired to groove to the music so i just end up sitting down basking in the sun and music... i'd much rather be up and bouncing around like a retard to the groovy music.

Sleeping in a hot tent is no issue at all, I've been camping all my life. It's when it's cold outside that I cant stand tents, cuz you never wanna get out of your sleeping bag.

Sounds like crazy fun. I've already got one person who wants to go (but if we're gonna be havin psychedelics, I dont know if I want this kid around), one person who wants to have a camping "trip" and the other guy I mentioned who lives out of state. I might be able to get some other kids to come down, but again, I don't know how many of them are gonna have close to 200 bucks to throw down on a concert ticket. Maybe some of us could meet up?

Yea last year we met up with my buddy's friend down near virginia beach, luckily he's ap retty cool dude. But uhh, you might wanna steer clear of the "camping trip" guy cause people who aren't really into the music will do a lot of complaining. Unless of course he's one of those dudes like me who is pretty complacent and will make the best of their time.

Oh this dude is totally into music - we hang out a smoke all the time during the summers. In fact I'm probably going to record some drum tracks for the songs he's written.

The guy I'm worried about is one of my friends from school - he's got some bad vibes sometiems. He also likes to do the "fake trip" thing where when you say something about an object, they go "what ball?" and try and make you think you're seein shit. The only reason he even knows about going to the festival is because I had to talk about it in front of him cuz my other dude asked about it. Bad vibe man was like "dude if theres any open seats I'm in" and i thought to myself "way to invite yourself along, jackass."

I know very well not to take people to concerts (or any activity really) that I know they won't be interested in.

That's one of the best descriptions I have seen of Bonnaroo, and one of the things that make it so great!

bonaroo sucks. after you check out the "smaller" festivals like 10k, you'll never want to go back to bonnaroo. that's how i feel, at least.

and trust me, even if you're a die-hard camping fan, bonnaroo is a whole different ball game. 2ce is absolutely right. you WILL be running out of your tent BY 8am struggling to breathe because the greenhouse effect has heated up your tent to 115 degrees and the oxygen is nowhere to be found. there is no shade anywhere and once you're out of the tent, it feels good for about an hour and then shit REALLY starts heating up around 10am and you're sweating no matter where you run/hide.

10klf, on the other hand, is shaded and you can sleep until 10-11am and then get up and be happy you're not drenched in sweat, and still have a couple hours to hang out in the mild temperature before the music starts.

i'll probably never go to bonnaroo again--it was a one-time thing, i think.

i hope i can make it to 10k.

Yea roo is worth checking out once I'd say, for the experience, but IDK i been camping a lot like these other dudes too and never felt heat like i did there, maybe cause I'm a yankee who knows.. I'm talking laying in a pool of sweat shortly after sunrise... and by 8 am is generous, you're a lucky fuck lol, last year i think i woke up at 6 or 630 am one of the days and just sat there in the sun waiting for rain. When it rained later on I just sat there like OOOOO OOOOO YEEEEEEE IT'S SO GOOOD OOOOOOO the last day of roo last year though the weather was kinda like rainy on and off so there was some nice breezes.

How do you guys think it'll be on me trying to find acid or shrooms there? I mean, I know someone will be selling, but what are the odds that it wont be shit? Are people usually pretty cool at these festivals?

Yea last year i thought i would escape the heat at 10klf but it turned out being like 90 something every day last years summer was the first we had in the midwest that was that good in a while though. I hope 10,000 lakes dosent like fucking flood in the next couple of years its nice to have a festival stay a little bit smaller
