New study, marijuana will make you psychotic.

There is actually an article on the CNN website that blatently says marijuana can make some young people psychotic.

People who oppse pot seriously need to be more honest about stuff and stop saying "it will make you psychotic" because once people discover that they lied about marijuana then theyll figure they must have lied about all the other drugs too.

I've never seen anyone become permanently psychotic from smoking pot.

However, it's a well known fact that marijuana can induce a temporary psychosis in some people. However, this wears off as the drug wears off.

 

I'm so sick of this shit. I'm sure some of these people admitted for marijuana dependance have some serious fuckin' issues, but why can't parents see that its not the weed? It might be shocking to the parent that maybe there is another problem that is at the root of this. Everyone always wants to blame the drugs when there is probably something behind it. Ahhhhhh, this stuff drives me nuts! Oh yea, drug agencies are stupid!!!

 

Dude this is straight out of Reefer Madness. Although marijuana may bring out a latent psychological disease in some cases, it's only for those who have a history of disorders in their family. This article is BS.

 

Marijuana CAN trigger latent mental problems. The pot doesn't cause it, it just activates what is already there.

I heard CNN was controlled by the American government. In other words, you can't believe anything CNN says.

 

My working theroy has always been that psychotic people are drawn to weed to help balance themselves out. The higher percentage of psychosis among marijuana smokers is simply because psychotics like to smoke marijuana.

 

CNN is bull, i dont know anyone that has become phycotic from pot. maybe when they were high they act like maniacs but thats the expected outcome from smoking isnt it? and when ur high wears off ur back to normal completly harmless.

Ya, I got ticketed for possesion of less than an oucne (it was like a fucking gram dammit) of marijuana, and wound up with a $100 fine for the ticket, $125 fine for the program I was placed in, $12 fines per UA (of which I've had 7 so far), and 16 hours of community service. Kind of a little bit much for such a harmless amount of a harmless plant.
