I seem to live in these. Different situations acted out in my head, images, colours, feelings...all in the mind. I can sit for hours just doing it. And the scary thing is, its extremely difficult to stop...and even when i do, its not long before i slip right back into one again.
The whole things really odd, seeing as there are so many exciting things happening or about to happen in the REAL world right now...
Its not a sexual thing here...its really difficult to understand. It can be anything...ill dream about the future, where i could live, places i could visit, people i could meet...
I realise that a limited amount of dreams can be very healthy...but this is beginning to take over my life a little, and its such a struggle to just stop, focus, and actually do something in the here and now.

    Any advice or ideas?
    Thanks

    Love-Maxi.Xx

I know exactly how that is, I'm very familiar with drifting off into my own little world of daydreams. It happens a lot when I'm walking, making it pretty easy to get lost if I'm actually trying to go somewhere. :&

I treasure this part of my personality though, its very nice to daydream. But if you feel you're doing it a little too much, you can always try concentrational excercises like meditation or whatnot.

I Day Dream When I'm Walking Also...But It's Rather Dangerous...

I Live in Quite a Busy Town...And I Really Can't Believe All of the Main Roads I Cross Without Even Being Aware...

    Always Being Honked at...

Atleast When I'm Walking my Dog he Guides me as I Slip into a Day Dream...

I Hope I Never Get Hit by a Vehicle Because of This...

    Slightly Worried...

I love daydreams. I wish I had them more often, but for some reason I'm not as creative as I used to be. But I used to walk for hours and hours around the neighborhoods by the university here, and just think of how I would really like my life to be. It was good because it actually gave me the courage to one day take charge of my life and get a divorce and move on to something that I wanted out of life. Oh yeah and it helped me to lose a lot of weight. I bet I was gone for about 4 hours every night, doing nothing but walking and daydreaming. *sigh*

Then again, when I take tests I have a bad habit of daydreaming. Especially any tests having to do with numbers. If I'm reading something or trying to fix something, that is great, but if I have to do math, my mind just wanders and I start giving the numbers human attributes and make them all fight in my head and stuff. Like numbers on "the real world." LOL. I'm so silly. :)

Daydreams, to that extent, seem a little dangerous to me

And, by dangerous, I mean, youre creating illusions that you might start believing or hoping for, and if you dont get them, reality can become sub-par.

I created reality that I hoped for: that I could get a divorce from an abusive loser who I didn't love to begin with, that I could go to college and use the intelligence I knew I had, that I could find someone who would love me for being me and cherish me and whom I would love back deeply. Today I daydream about standing up to people who put me down and hold me back, like my abusive father, who still has a hold on me even though I'm 26 freakin years old. I dream about quitting my job (which I'm so happy to annouce I'm finally going to be able to do this JULY) I dream about moving to NC where I want to live.

I'm extremely thankful I was dangerous enough to have these daydreams, and almost every single one of them I have made a reality. July 31st we'll be in NC that will be all of my dreams coming true. I can't wait.

Had they not come true, I guess I might have been disappointed, but had I not had them to begin with then I wouldn't be where I am today. And completely happy at that.

Oh yeah and about the numbers fighting in my head, I don't really want that to come true. That would be scary. Like on sesame street when they have the big numbers all of the time, if they started fighting each other in the streets and stuff, I think I would flip out. LOL. But that is just my imagination doing what it is there to do. The only time it was dangerous was when I went to take my SATs. But I got through it.

I daydream alot. Highly fantastical daydreams. It's probably not all that good for me because I know it's escapism but it's also the place where my creativity comes from.

maybe it could help if you try to keep focu by takeing all your migrating thoughts at the moment and make them into art, like paintings or stories or poems? it can help if you have a restless but creative mind
