I work at a Superstore (canadian store), and we always have these promotions going on ever 2 months or so where they give us these cotton long sleeved shirts to wear and 3 weeks later, we're done with them and are back to our usual uniforms. I figured I'd want to do something with them, as they never ask for them back.....(i think that this is a little funny, considering we're a store all about cutting costs and reducing waste, including charging for grocery bags and encouraging customers to bring they're own...) The print is on the front and back, and it pretty hideous (sp?), but i suppose I could use the 'wrong' side of the fabric.... I have no idea what to do with them. I only have 2 so far, which are orange and blue....
can see the print if you turn them inside out? if not maybe you could stensile (sp) on them or maybe an iron patch and you can always alter the cut...if you can't find away to wear em you can always trift store them
would be great material to keep, even if their bad/weird colours. Pick up a very easy quilting pattern, teach yourself to quilt, and mash these shirts together into a funky bedspread for yourself
yea I recommend the quilting thing.. its soo much fun especially if you have a bunch of other random tshirts that just dont fit or your not using them or anything...its kinda cool if there's a bigger design on them if you cut it apart just right and sew it back together you can make a mosaic kinda thing....
we always get a million of those at value village. i've given up on what to do with shitty tshirts.....to me there's so many more projects i'd rather do than mess with some useless crappy looking tshirts.
I made a knitting basket out of some old shirts. I had the wooden frame of the basket, but the original material was ratty, so I tore it off, and resewn the printed t's I had to refabric my basket.
