A school in my area (not mine) is going to start testing your hair for weed and some other common drugs. My question is...how long will the evidence remain in your hair and is there anyway to get around the test?
please do not let them even do it, thats stupid. its your right to decline. and they can detect weed in your hair from months of smoking, unlike urine which is generally a month.
i wouldn't let anyone cut my hair...for any reason so yea id just decline being tested i dont think they would be allowed to if it was a public school unless your parents agreed so start growing your hair and become sentimental about so you have an excuse for them not to use it
i had to have a hair test for a job once.. and passed it.. they took a strain that was at least 2 feet long.. and i passed.. worked there for 2 weeks then quit because they were assholes
i go to a catholic school here in memphis thats been doing that for a long time now. At school, the DTs are completely random hair tests and there isnt a way to pass those other than quiting til you get the last one. We can have up to 2 tests per year. Many people that get their 1st test in the 2nd semester start smoking. and there are some that just dont care. Otherwise, keep shampoo handy in your locker if youre worried about passing.
they arnt allowed to do that because hair test can go way back, and they cant determin wether you smoked it at school because thats the only way you can be in trouble for school
for a typical hair test, they'll take enough hair to look back 90 days into your drug history. there are some special shampoos you can buy that apparently work well for many people. hair tests actually aren't super accurate, for example, the tests are almost useless with black people because of the differences in their hair compared to non-blacks. hair testing in a high school is way too intrusive, in my opinion. i don't see why it's their business what students do in their free time.
It's not the school's business what is done on private time, but they will claim that drug use will affect school performance and such. Anything to keep fighting the drug war.
