Has anyone ever had this experience or am i just a dumbass? Sometimes when I hear certain people's voices I experience a pleasant sensation of scalp tingling. I'll consciously seek out those people just to listen to them and get that sensation and its been like that since i was little. Anyone else?

Like when you hear a beautiful song, and it feels kinda like a flow of water into your head?

I've heard about that. How does that work? The opening of the chakras that is.

I actually joined this forum just because I had to comment on this. I was curious about this phenomenon and unfortunately there is nothing much out there about it. I googled it and this was the only place where it was being discussed.

Is it at the top of your head, or at the Crown of your head? That is your Crown Chakra, and often alerts people to paranormal activity.

It happens to me, too. Usually, when I am in old houses, or a family member is about to die or has just gone ect.

Oh, someone already mentioned the Crown Chakra. At least I'm not alone in thinking this. :)

Hi Folks! So glad to find this thread!

I created a little website dedicated to this mystery way back in May 2005. Since I haven't experienced the phenomenon for years it's been off my radar screen a bit. For some reason I'm drawn back to the subject today.

Plus, coincidentally, someone put up a comment on that site recently. I really do think we are on to something here, and it is interesting that it doesn't seem common.

I also don't think it's nutty. ...and there does seem to be a common-thread regarding the experience... EG: Pleasant feeling, (search "head tingle" online and most hits will talk about a different, unpleasant physical reaction, usually medically related...), however the type of experience we are talking about also seems to more often be a mild, pleasant experience and occur during quite, contemplative activities. Yes? No?

Although I myself am a open-minded skeptic about the metaphysical, (IE Chakras), this has also come up in the comment thread on my site and/or in emails to me.

Up-front apologies on the limited commenting abilities there, I'm an amateur, Geocities is limited and we really need to create a blog to replace the website, which I might get around to doing soon, since I'm much more experienced with blogs now.

So please everyone with any interest, visit the site, leave a short comment (255 characters max., sorry) and feel free to shoot me an email, either from here or from that site. Thanks and keep tingling! ..."Dana" aka TinglyHead

Wow, that's crazy. I had no idea there was this much attention on the subject. Thanks for the link. If you have seen any other documents/pages on the subject, let me know. I too am quite drawn to this subject as of late.

I've experienced the same sensation. It usually happens to me when somebody I don't know is teaching me something new.

    You're welcome "Sadosubliminal".
"nightmonkey": Actually that's not unlike my experience... I do believe it is some kind of social phenomenon, although for me it has sometimes happened even without direct interaction!

I've neglected to describe my experience, and draw-out more full descriptions from others. Hope we can work on this, maybe a blog that includes some polling as well... hmmm... Something scientific eventually...

This is different than hinted at above but I've experienced this, let's say while in a situation like a quiet, low traffic area of a library. Let's also say I'm perusing a book, a newspaper, (rarely do that anymore since being online!), and someone is browsing the shelves nearby. The weird thing is I might not have even noticed this person at first, but I have a strong feeling that their presence is the trigger. I don't know this person, I don't otherwise find them remarkable nor am I otherwise particularly drawn to them.... we might never make eye contact... yet... yet, I do feel that somehow there is some sort of casual link...

Perhaps it suggests a poorly understood aspect of human nature or even maybe something "metaphysical", as in the seventh or "crown chakra" as has been mentioned by others. I have had a "theory" that there is some affinity with the person in proximity that causes it, some "kindred spirit" perhaps. (Is it a "secret" affinity? A "tribal" link"?) I know, kooky sounding stuff...

But hey, the idea that people could fly used to be thought kooky too, no?
