where does size come from?

Since getting pregnant, I've been wondering...

Is penis size genetic? Like... my father isn't all that well off, size wise, or so my mother's comments have lead me to believe. My husband is average size... not too big, but not too small. I asked him what his Dad and Brother are "hung" like, but he said he didn't know (and looked at me weird).

It must be determined genetically, right? But is it determined by the Mother's side (like male pattern baldness) or the Father's side? Or is it a mix.. dominant vs. recessive?

THought about posting this in the sex forum, but it's not a sex question, it's more of a genetic, parenting question.

Just wondering if my child is a boy if his man-hood is going to be on the small side of things... not that it really matters... just wondering. Any of you parents out there care to shed some light on this for me?

 

I don't know exactly, I will say this...Jim's penis is a mirror image of his Dads! It hangs exactly the same! It tcks in slighty. It's cte! Other than the foreskin thing, and the one being an adlt they're remarkably similar. By the way, are ya gonna circ?

 

i'm going to guess that like all other things, it is genetic, but could go either way by the very nature of genetics, just like hair color, or having the same nose as an uncle instead of you dad, you know?

It is said in my husband's family that all the men are afflicted by the "Amann curse" meaning that they all supposedly have small penises. If that's true, then it missed my husband as he's at the larger side of average--not huge, so maybe that's what they're referring to; if so they have a really skewed idea of what "small" is, lol, so i suppose it's all relative anyway.

 

genetics. the same gene that regulates the length of one's fingers and toes regulates the length of one's penis. after that, i couldn't tell you, i have no idea on which chromasome that info resides, or if it's even selected for that way.

 

I've heard from many sources that the gene comes from the mom's side, though I couldn't tell you for sure, because I've never heard from any scientific source.

 

thanks for the input... i realized its a weird question. I talked to a woman at work about it, she has 2 sons by 2 different men. She said that they resemble their fathers (one is bigger than the other, just like the fathers). But, I have 2 nephews, same father, same mother... one has a baseball bat, the other has a shy little turtle...

So... back to square one.. haha.

P.S. I don't know if I have having a boy or not, just lately I've been feeling that I am. As for circumcising... I am torn (my dad has had a LOT of problems with his foreskin). My husbands want to circumcise, as he is.

My dh is huge, (Neener neener boo boo. ) I haven't seen my son's penis since he was about 8 or 9, and started being able to actually come out of the shower smelling better than when he went in. I couldn't tell you, though. I try not to look.

 

Some are showers and some are growers. hehe.


My dh is well hung too (neener neener boo boo maggie! ) and ds is pretty dang big for a 6 year old. My ex is itty bitty, and one ds is itty bitty too, but the other one has a wanger.
I wonder if it's anything like breast size?

 

My poor mama had no breasts to speak of, and went up 3 or 4 cup sizes when I was born! I got the Italian side of the breast gene. Nice 38 C.

My dh doesn't look all that big when he's um, not aroused, but, damn.......so I don't know if that is just the way some guys are. Doncha love that age, when they are just getting out of diapers and their entire purpose of existance is to pull on that thing. Come to think of if, I don't think they ever outgrow that. LOL!

 

I have no idea how big my dad is, and really don't want to know. But it would appear that my husband is larger than normal, and while DS was still in diapers I was told by several other mamas that he was "huge" as well. So yeah, I'd guess genetics too.

Haha! What a great thread! Jim yanks away at his winky any time his diaper is off. He will grab it and SQVEEZE! I'm afraid he'll damage it so I gently pvll it off and show him how to stroke it nicely. I say "Be nice to the penis Jim, don't hvrt it!" I do this becavse I have to yank his hands away, I don't want him to have a complex abovt not being able to tovch it. Jvst want him to know HOW he can tovch it.

Haha, I dunno how easily they can be hurt. My sig other always smacks his around and tugs on it and it seems to me that it would hurt, but he tells me it doesn't. They have a lot of leeway, I guess...lol. But it's very good you're not discouraging touching and experimenting, there should be absolutely no stigma against discovering yourself.

 

yeah, my dh always does all kindsa weird things with his, too.....i don't understand it....he screams if i tap it or something, but then he'll stand up and shake himself back and forth while it slaps his hips....or he'll put it back between his legs so that it doesn't even look like he has one.....weird. I guess when you have this hanging extremity (sp?) from your body, you have to do something with it....

Yes sir, penis size is determined by genetics, so if you've got a small penis you know who to blame

 

Oh my god, Dan did that the other night and I cracked up laughing so hard... When I was in high school (my earlier years, freshman and sophomore), I had a group of mainly male friends and one of them (who ended up being my first love, oddly enough) had this thing about getting naked when they were all hanging out and tucking it all between his legs and waddling up to everyone and telling them he had a "virgina." Hahaha...those guys were so weird...the greatest stories I have come from them. High school was the best. It makes me wish I was born with a penis sometimes! Haha.

 

The "Dick Dance." Every man instintively knows how to do this. Bear gets out of the shower in the morning, comes into the bedroom (did I mention he gets up at about 4:30 AM?) Yells "NUDE MON!" and does the Dick Dance for me. Like I haven't seen it 10000 times, LOL! (Bear's dance is up and down, so it hits his tummy and then his thighs, he is SO proud......)

lmao, sounds just like cody....I don't know that he ever did that infront of other guys, though....but he was never all that "body shy" (he has 3 indecent exposure charges from when he was a free-loving bachelor before I met him! (he lived in a small town...not much to do)) so I wouldn't be all that surprised if he did.
But yeah, we'll be sitting there ready for bed and he'll tuck it "under" and ask what i t looks like....men are weird....
