Does anyone know if any major fast-food chains have anything that's vegan? If anyone can think of something off the top of their head, that'd be nice.

    Thanks

How fast are we talking about? "McDonalds" type fast food/pizza fast food?

If the food is going to be any good for you at all, it's always going to take longer than what we know as "fast food". There are little cafes around that do cater to vegans. But, unfortunately, some are hard to find. I always found my best bet was a protein bar or vegetables/fruit from the juicer, if i want it real fast. If you eat bagels, that my be the fastest it's going to get. It's really sad, the whole thing.

Hopefully some other people will reply with more useful answers

:) In the supermarket, you may be able to find the "tofu to go" items. Some are pretty decent. I think the name is "Pete's Tofu To Go"..the stuff is already made, no heating or any of that nonsense.. Usually found in refridgerated sections

Oh I see you said fast food chains..sorry about that.. There is one place called Fuel, but it's not a very large chain. They usually make some good stuff. Other than that, closest bet would be a sandwich from the heath store refrigerator (can't spell refrigerator.refridgerator?) Whatever, that is probably your best bet for now..

As far as I know, the burger McDonald's have is vegan, but they do put mayo on it as a dressing (you can ask to have it without the mayo).

The Beanburger (Burger King) is also vegan, only without the cheese.

Oh yeah, and you should ask to have your burger microwaved, if you don't want it grilled in the same place as other burgers...

You could just eat the bag.... I can't really imagine any fast food places have any vegan stuff. It sucks, though. They go all nuts about the Atkins diet that's been around for like five years, but they totally ignore vegans and vegetarians that have been around since, well, forever. Assholes.

Taco bell... if you leave the cheese off i know the beans are vegan. Not sure about the tortilla. Unless they have some crazy-ass tortilla it should be vegan as well.

Yeah, I heard about this. I don't know. Sounds icky to me. Wouldn't trust it.. If they are touching meat all day long, there is little doubt that whatever you order will be touching meat as well. Also, everything is still cooked with the same fryers and all that.. Even if they do microwave it, who knows what else was thrown in there before.. Just not trusting it..

I don't know about fast food chains, but I'd say you're better off going to health good restaurants and stores. Theres a pretty good one near here in St. Pete, although I hardly go to it.

Do you live by a Whole Foods? That's one of the chain stores that I know of. That is a wonderful supermarket. As for fast-ER food, they have a salad bar and juice stand. It's really lovely there. I think there are quite a few around. Also, the Gourmet Garden is another.. Salad bars in health food stores are probably a good way to go. They have hot stuff too.

Well, I know that Wendy's has a garden salad...but I understand what you're looking for...how much salad do we have to consume before we want to scream...it drives me bananas..."Oh, we have vegitarian options: salad." Thanks...grr...

Yes, whoever said sandwiches is on the right track. There used to be a health food store by me that made the best "chicken" salad from textured soy protien and vegan mayo...it was awesome...it close :( and I miss it...the other day I was reading an article about textured soy protien and I've had cravings for that "chicken" salad since...lol

Subway can do veggie sandwiches and rolls. just ask for salad with no cheese or mayo. However that can get kinda boring....
