    hey

i was just wondering how u can work out when a woman ovulates when she has iregular periods....?

could she ovulate 2 days after the last day of her period?

now to the point of me asking those questions.....i had finished my period on the 28th of feb 2006... and then i had sex on the 3rd march 2006.... could i have ovulated in that time? i also know that sperm can last up to 7 days inside a womans body so could i have ovualted between the 4th -11 of march?

Well, usually ovulation occurs 14 days after your menstrual period (or 14 days before, whichever way you prefer to look at it). But, with an irregular menstrual cycle, it would be difficult to pinpoint when ovulation might have taken place.

If your LMP ended on the 28th of February, you may have ovulated around the 14th of March, but that's more likely if you follow a predictable cycle.

Anyway, it's highly unlikely that you experienced ovulation only 3 days after your LMP. The uterus needs time to build up it's lining once more, and 3 days is not a sufficient amount of time.
