haha so yeah basicallly i've had some pretty weird dreams

i smoked every day for like almost a year without anymore than a days break between them. i've only taken a three day break so far, but i've had some crazy dreams

in one of them i was getting ready to go play a gig with my jazz band and for some reason we were all in this chinese restaurant. every single person that i knew was in this restaurant and they all cheered when i came in. for some reason i passed out in the dream and i felt like i was floating above my body because i could see myself passed out. the people cheered when i came in but nobody helped me when i passed out. anyways i just kept passing out and i couldn't stop. trippy dream haha

the second one was a really strange sex dream that i will post in the sex forum unless you guys are too lazy to go there, then i will post it in this thread.

but anyways, i just thought it was weird that it's only been three days and i'm having these extremely weird dreams haha.

^^ odd I been smoking for around the same amount of time and I haven't had any long breaks none passing 4 days. I been gettin weird dreams lately, like im sittin cross legged with 2 other people I don't know, in a cave. And I start sliding down into blackness of nothing while spinning, and I can literally feel myself spinning. This hasn't been the first dream lately, i've had more than 5-6 one's that I feel like im actually there, or expereincing it anyways.

yeah i felt like i was actually there too. i could feel myself hitting the floor when i was passing out and i could feel myself getting hot and dizzy before i did pass out.

and if you read anything about the other dream, i could swear the sex was real haha. usually when i dream i know it's a dream, but both of these just felt completely real. it was a strange experience

I know what you're talking about. I get like that too, I don't ever remember my dreams unless they're really crazy. And these are, I've had like three about living in thats 70s show, and one where I went to see The Who for a dollar in some abandoned warehouse. They didn't even play any songs, it was just very weird. I don't want to get into it too much though.

i've come to the conclusion that maybe the dreams were so weird because when we go to bed baked we don't remember our dreams. and going to bed sober helps us remember. maybe our brains just couldn't distinguish dream from reality because we hadn't dreamed in so long

hahah i don't know, i'm baked lol so much for sobriety

as for the sex dream, here's the link to the thread. it's not vulgar, but i don't want to offend anyone by talking about sex in the mj forum

Whenever i smoke chronicaly i never dream, do you?
Maybe you are just having normal dreams, but because you aren't accustumed to it, they appear more vivid and bizarre than usual.

Oh, and i saw a porno like your dream. :)

when youve been blazin lots, dreams are generally at a lower level of activity and this can result in feeling rested but not revitalised the next morning. as well as forgetting them. however, your brain stores up how many things it wants to put into a dream. so if you miss out on sleep one night, your brain will try to cram the stimuli for those dreams into the next night's.

if you miss out on significant dreaming for months, you can haveamazingly vidid dreams that you remember teh next day because they extend almost the whole of your sleep cycle.

and some people who smoke every night for years, and then stop, can have such an intense reaction they wake up in those night-paralysis or having mini seizure-like things

OT - but Bill, about this rested and revitalized thing. I have had days where I wake up and feel great and just on point. But most days throughout my life (before and after I started smoking), I wake up tired, feeling like shit, or just blah feeling. Whats the deal? Am I lacking something in diet possibly? Or just fucked?

it could be due to many things but the most probable cause is the content of your sleep cycle and te point in which you wake up at. there is a point in your sleep cycle when waking up is optimum and you will feel rested and nice. there is another point int he cycle where you can wake up and feel like youve had barely any sleep at all. the cycle repeats itself and is different lengths for different people in different situations.

try seeing a correlation not betweent he amount of hours you sleep and your awakeness in the morning, but the actual number of hours, eg if the optimum time in the cycle is 3 hours then if you sleep 6 hours you could feel better than 7 and a half hours sleep. and also better at 9 hours sleep. check out how long you have to sleep in until after being badly woken up, until you are ready to hit the world (if thats an option).
and research into the sleep cycle, because there is conflicting data (most likely due to the individual nature of each persons sleep cycle)

i only say all this because it has been the main factor in my own wakefullness patterns in the mornings. sometimes i get up extra early for something even if i need lots of sleep, just so that i can feel more awake in the morning

Yeah good point, thanks. Is this the REM cycle or something?
My mom has told me a bunch of times that I am not following the circadium rythms, which I think pretty much makes you a early to bed, early to rise person if you do follow it. All the fun happens at night.

actually, circadian rhythm is individual for everyone, but if you align your rhythm to coincide with sundown and sun-up, then you will be early to bed early to rise and also be well rested. but some people have rhythms that have them more enthusiastic at night. unfortunately this does not fit in with the rest of the world which tells you to wake up in the morning, so people with late rhythms end up having to wake up earlier than their body's would like them to and be constantly out-of-rhythm because of this.

REM is one part of the sleep cycle. i cant remember at which point it is best to wake up at

Yeah man, I always feel better on four hours of sleep than six hours. Eight hours seems to be the best for me.

If I get too much sleep, like ten or twelve hours I will be so dreadfully tired.

I just get messed up dreams if I smoke too much before I go to bed.

One time I got so high, that I crawled from my roommate's room in the basement to my room on the main floor, yet passed out half way on my bed and on my rolled up yoga mat that was on the floor next to my bed. I had the most intense dream about getting beaten up by the olsen twins in the sky while free falling. In reality I fell completely off my bed and rolled across the floor, jammed my foot against the wall and screamed the entire time. By the time my roommates came to see what was going on, I was sweating like a pig and laughing my ass off.

They decided to be really cruel the next morning and put a photo of the olsen twins wearing halloween costumes on my tea mug.

And my roommate who smoked with me was totally fine... so I doubt it was laced.

But when I consume too much marijuana, I just get totally off the wall nuts. Its pretty awesome.
