did you guys hear christinas new album is set to hit stores this spring? she says its "back to basics" because she is inspired by the 20s, 30s, and 40s music era. im not quite sure what i think of this. feedback?

well people change all day everyday the problem with famous musicans is that they can't change without the public judging them...so although she may be into all that 20's, 30's stuff that may just be something she has became infactuated with. look at Gwen Stefani she went from NO doubt punk/reggae to pop rap but ya know what if we respect her and like her for who she is we will still like her as a person. We can either listen to their new stuff or if we don't like it we will just listen to their old stuff. Christina has changed a lot so who knows this could be her now.

I think what he means is that generally when an artist does a change of direction, it's often inspired simply to sell more records. It's like Madonna, love her or not she's really successful because she reinvents herself a lot so people don't get bored. obviously this isn't always the case though

Meh she did 1920s in that dreafull song with Nelly and she still came across as the whoreriest cock sucking slut she always has been so I'm guessing this time won't be any different.

i'm so looking forward to this.

    HAHA. :D.

unless youre actually a good musician, which christina is not, it is the record label who decides what the artist will do.... christina probably was allowed no input.

however, not many albums are much worse than Stripped.....

I personally think her music sucks and the persona she puts out is kind of creepy overall, but honestly, the music forums in here are the most elitest, close minded ones on the hipforums. I love music, i have very eclectic but specific tastes and i certainly know what sounds like shit to my ears, but damn. I've personally been hesitant to post certain things because i don't like a lot of the way a lot of people immediately get shut down here. I know it's free speech, and negative speech is as free as positive speech, but. Holy judgemental, is all i have to say.

I think her new album will flop! 20's 30' and 40's jazz and swing just isn't popular! I'll bet she'll lose a lot of her audience, she must be on drugs or something??
She dresses up in that 40's garb and hairstyle--she looks horrible! No I don't think it will sell.
